━━AS Y/N WENT to the locker room, he was met by the sophomore warriors brandin podziemski and trayce jackson-davis.

"nice game you had back there, rook." podziemski complimented.

"yeah, i wouldn't have a nice game without the others." y/n replied as he sat down and relaxed.

"anyways, have you heard the news?" brandin asked as he sat down.

"news? what news?" y/n asked, brandin just whistled and pointed at his phone, indicating an announcement on the team group chat.

as y/n took out his phone from his bag, he gave a confused look. "w-wait, why is our media day moved to the 21st of september? shouldn't it be on the 30th?" 

"as much as we would love to tell you, we don't know either, only coach kerr and gm dunleavy do." trayce replied as he took a sip of his beverage.

"if a media day for a certain team is moved... that means one team's media day is also moved." y/n brainstormed as he looked for the possibilities.

"podz, check your phone to see if any other teams had their media days moved." y/n asked the sophomore as he looked for the teams that had their media days moved.

"well, boston on the 24th and denver on the 26th of september, we already knew about that since they will be participating in the abu dhabi games." brandin replied.

"oh here we go, miami's media day is moved to the 23rd." brandin added, y/n scoffed, he kinda hated the heat because of their gritty defense during the finals of the summer league.

"so we will be facing the heat, great." y/n commented, both sophomores just chuckled at the rookie's response.

"the heat living in your head rent-free, rook?" trayce jokingly asked.

"what? no. pfft, they don't." y/n replied. "you know what, i have an idea, what if we just sit here in complete silence." 

"as much as we want to stay, gm dunleavy called a meeting for us players, that means you have to come too, rook." podz stood up and offered his hand to y/n, y/n took his hand and stood up.

"jeez, go change, we don't want you coming to the meeting in a sweaty jersey." podz chuckled, y/n scoffed as he went towards the changing room to change to more comfortable clothes.

"there, much better." trayce stated as y/n came out after a few minutes, the trio then went to chase center to meet with the other warriors.

━━AS THE TRIO went to the meeting room within chase center, they were immediately greeted by draymond. 

"what's up, rook? heard you balled out a few moments ago." draymond smiled as he dapped up y/n.

"word sure travels fast within this organization." y/n chuckled. "but yeah, kinda, it was more of a team effort." 

"okay, okay, i see you." draymond replied as he led the trio to their seats.

after a few minutes, coach kerr and gm dunleavy entered the room, the banter from the warriors players was immediately silenced due to the two important figureheads of the organization entering the room.

"alright, is this all of them?" dunleavy asked kerr to which kerr nodded.

"yup, that's all of them." kerr replied to the general manager. both men walked towards the front and faced the players for an important announcement.

"okay, good. steph and gui are gone for the olympics, we have already told them about the situation beforehand." coach kerr explained to the group.

"now, as we all know, our media day has been moved from the 30th to the 21st of september, and you may be wondering why, am i correct?" coach kerr asked to which the players nodded.
