"GET UP SAMMYY!!!" Leo's little sister says.
Before I could respond I got a mouthful of pillow. I held my hands up in surrender. "Okay! Okay! I'm up." I laugh, looking at my digital clock on the nightstand .. Rubbing my sleepy eyes I get out of bed and stretch.
"Stephanie it's 4am why so early?!"
She giggles. "We are going on a road trip!" .. Alex jumps off the bed and runs to his food and water already placed by his bed. "Oh and bring Alex too."
We all get into Leo's car, his mom is in the drivers seat and Leo's got coffee in his hand. I flop into the backseat with Alex in my hand and sit next to Stephanie.
He sees me and shoots a smile.
"Good morning beautiful.You ready?"
I nodd. "But where exactly are we going?" I realize my stuff is already packed for me and is sitting in the back. "And whats with the luggage?"
He laughs. "You'll see, for now just get some sleep.stephanie is already passed out so I think your just as tired as she is."
I sigh.."okay. I'll try"
Leo's mom pulls out the drive way and heads down the street out of our neighborhood. I cuddle with Alex for a while before falling back asleep, I dig through my luggage looking for my phone. "Leo you have my phone?"
He nods and hands It over, "your earbuds are already plugged in and I have your favorite song on play."
I stare at the phone. "Oh, thanks"
He smiles.
I put in my earbuds and put on one of my favorite albums on shuffle and repeat.. Leaning my head against the window I fell asleep with Alex safely on my lap.. I think to myself.."I wonder what he has planned this time."
5 hours later I wake up in a soft fluffy bed. Alex running around the room barking at the clear glass door opening to a deck. I sit up and rub my eyes.
"Leo, why are we in a hotel room."
On the other bed, the lump Under the covers disappeared as cute little Leo popped his head out like a little kid.
"We are here because I'm taking you on a road trip to somewhere you'll definitely enjoy." He smiles and his messy hair falls over his eyes , he growls and Combes it back with his fingers.
Alex runs and jumps on to my bed tackling me with a face full of licks. I laugh and pull him off as he scrambles off of my bed to pull the covers off of Leo.
He groans. "Alright alright I'm up!"
He gets up and I realize he's got swimming shorts on and a loose T-Shirt. "Why the lousy outfit?"
He smirks. Your so blind.
He throws me a two piece swim set with the bottom high waisted. It was sky blue and then he threw my a loose dress to put over it. I laugh..
"Your insane."
He nudges me. " we goin for a swim. Hurry and change, I'll be right back I'm going next door to see if stephanie and mom are up."
I nod "okay"
A few moments after I changed into my new swim set I put my hair up in a messy ponytail and fed Alex.
I hear stephanie knocking on the door.
"Sam lets go!"
I pick up Alex and put his leash on him. "Coming!!"
Turning off the lights I opened the door to see stephanie in almost the exact same swimsuit as me. She giggles and jumps on Leo's back for a free piggy back ride.
We walk out to the car and as I sit down in the back putting on my seatbelt I realize I left I left my phone inside. "Leo can I get the keys I left my phone."
He laughs. "No worries baby girl, I got it." He pulled my phone from his back pocket.
"Oh, thanks"
A while later we reached a beach that had white sand and a gorgeous sky blue and turquoise shade of water.. It was beautiful.
My mouth dropped in awe. "Oh.. My... Gosh.."
Leo claps his hands laughing "Congratulations on beating your depression baby girl.!!!"
I tore away my eye from the view.
"Wait.. You mean, this is my big surprise?"
Stephanie giggled and clapped "Yes!"
Leo's mom smiled "Your mom would've been very proud of you"
We all get out the car and Leo walks around to the trunk to get the towels,cooler, and two big beach umbrellas. I grabbed Alex and set him on the floor holding his leash in my hand. We walk with stephanieto find a spot .
She runs to a clear area a little far from the shore. Leo and his mom come walking and set the things down .. I help set up the umbrellas and lay out towels with Leo. We all take off our dresses and T shirts then straighten out our bathing suits.
Moments later I'm standing before the waves at the shore staring out into the never ending ocean.
Leo comes and wraps his arms around me from behind. He rests his chin on my shoulder. "You like it?"
I smile, "I love it.. I never thought if make it this far. Thank you for everything." He kisses my cheek.."I told you I will always be here. You'll be okay. You have me, Stephanie , mom and Alex." .. He let go and walked out to the ocean stopping where the water was at his knees. "Come on! I didn't bring you here for nothing!" He held his arms out with a smile on his face.
I run out to him and tackle him in the water.
Life finally got better for me. And now I have everything I ever needed.
The happiness I felt that day wasnt as hard to achieve as i expected..All I had to do was..
