Chloe closed her notebook as soon as the bell that gave notice of recess rang. Red next to her yawned loudly. It was no secret that Red Hearts bored her with math.
Chloe laughed because Red looked like a tired bear. The teacher left the classroom and only the two of them remained in the classroom, because their classmates had disappeared as soon as the bell had rung.
- I'm very sleepy. - said Red making a not very pronounced pout. Chloe smiled so that her eyes disappeared.
- No one forces you to stay so late playing video games. - Chloe remembered the screams that came from Red's house, the day before. She had earned a good hit from her mother, plus a few laughs from Chlo for having listened to her.
It had been quite funny.
- Have. Your favorites. - Red offered her a strawberry-flavored popsicle. Chloe shouted excitedly, while Red smiled proudly. I knew how much she liked those curly sweets.
- Thank you, my dear redhead. - Chloe said, and then caressed Red's hair, as a thank you.
When she already had the candy in his mouth, she began to put away the notebooks of the subject already passed, to take out those of the subject that was her turn now. In the middle of that, she saw a chocolate bar that she had bought that same day. She smiled.
- Look what I have. - she showed the chocolate, moving it from side to side. Red's eyes shone and any trace of sleep disappeared.
They spent the rest of recess, eating the chocolate in pieces. Enjoying its sweet flavor. Until we eat it whole.
