So I think I might have been lying to myself about whether I wanted to write a story regarding Transformers One. I actually did really enjoy the movie, even if I did miss Peter Cullen voicing Optimus/Orion Pax. And while I am not interested writing a romantic story, I came up with other ideas. Ones with some changes to the movie's lore and to make everyone hate Sentinel Prime even more.
This story is rated mature due to darker themes that will be present in the story than shown in the movie. Including torture, medical torture, blackmail, trauma, enslavement, mind control and detailed violence and character death.
I am sure you will enjoy this story like many of my other stories, readers.
Prologue Part 1
Cybertron. A world formed by a being of ethereal power. A being who created various lifeforms upon Cybertron from the dawn of Cybertron's creation. Many of these lifeforms are known by the Transformers living in Iacon city that had been built below the surface of the planet to protect its citizens from a race of beings that were not native to this planet. And thus, the being who formed Cybertron birthed thirteen warriors to fight against these invaders. The thirteen Primes. These Primes have stood against these foes, alongside warriors chosen to be the High Guard, to fight against the Quintessons for many years.
Though while most Cybertronians know this, the surface dwellers of the planet are less known to the citizens of Iacon. These beings are related to an ancient species of predacons who once ruled this planet. While related, these beings have built a city for themselves on the surface and possess strange and unique abilities with a unique and benign connection to Primus himself. Though these abilities are not without limitations. And these beings have stood alongside the Primes and the High Guard to fight against the Quintessons. And it seemed that the fight would go their way.
The surface city of Tempest is situated on the far north of the planet's surface. Carved into the mountains, one may have to blink before they would see any of the creatures flying high above the landscape. One would take a look at them and automatically think they were predacons, but a closer look would show they were not. These draconic bots have lived and walked upon Cybertron for many thousand cycles across time. They are a peaceful race, living together in the city where they ingest liquid energon and farm various plants to ingest that grew upon the surface of the planet.
Whilst they were peaceful, they were also great warriors. Fighting alongside the Primes and the High Guard against the Quintessons is nothing short of an honour to stand together with them for the sake of Primus. Their unique abilities, such as various breaths of fire, lightning and plasma, and the ability to cloak themselves, almost turning completely invisible, they have become valiant warriors against the Quintessons to ensure that peace and prosperity endured on Cybertron. As long as rivers of energon flowed and the Matrix of Leadership remained in possession with Zeta Prime, peace would endure. But it would not be so forever. The hunger for power can take hold on anyone.
Standing upon a cliff while gazing at a tall mountain ahead, a draconic bot stared at the location that lay ahead. The gold on his body glimmered underneath the sun beaming down onto the planet, while his white stomach, face and wings with feather shaped pieces held not glow like the gold down the side of his neck and down his back to the long tail due to matte finish of the colour. This draconic bot was known as Oracle River. He is one of the elder draconic bots from Tempest, and has stood by the Primes for many cycles. Here, he stood on the cliff upon learning about potential intel regarding the Quintessons from Sentinel, one the chief advisor to the Prime Council. Now that he stood here, a strange sense could be felt. Causing him to be uneasy.
