I woke up cuddling blankets rather than a person.
My eyes cracked open a little to look at my surroundings.
No one was in the room other than me.
I stood slowly and peeked out the already opened door.
I walked out and looked in he living room. No one.
The smell of bacon wafted into the living room and I tilted my head, cautiously moving into the kitchen.
Atreyu stood in front of the oven in only a pair of boxers and an apron.
"Do you always cook breakfast like this?" I asked.
He jumped and smiled.
"Only for you."
My cheeks reddened.
He walked over to me and kissed me quickly before going back in front of the oven.
He pulled out a sheet of bacon and biscuits.
"That looks so good. You're awesome at cooking." I cooed and he chuckled.
"I've had some time to practice. The dogs like my cooking at least, they're the ones that get the leftovers." He smirked and put some food on a plate then slid it over the counter to me.
I started shoving food in my mouth.
"This is really good." I said with a mouthful.
"Don't speak with your mouth full, it's disgusting." Atreyu ordered and I nodded, swallowing.
Atreyu sat down and started eating.
I finished before him so I pushed the plate away and rested my head in my hand.
"You okay?" He seemed truly worried.
"I'm fine, just slightly worried about my car." I said and smiled shyly.
He stood up and pulled me to the front door.
"Let's go get your car then." He took me out of the front door and led me to his car.
We drove in silence to the school. When we got there, I jumped out and ran over to my car.
Nothing happened to it, thank god.
Atreyu, still in only his boxers and an apron, got out of the car and leaned on the hood.
"You're not a model. Quit. You're gonna put finger prints on her hood!" I shooed him away.
He jumped off, chuckling, then rested on his car.
I got in and started the vehicle.
"Where are you going?" Atreyu's eyebrows furrowed.
"Home." I answered and he slid off his hood.
He walked over to my car and leaned against the door.
"Why are you going home?"
"Because I need clothes. And I need to shower."
"You can use my clothes and my shower."
"After I change and shower, you can come pick me up. That way, my car is at my house and not at school."
"Okay. I need your address."
"I'll text it to you when I'm finished. I need your number."
He quickly wrote it down and hand me the paper.
I stuffed the paper in my pocket and drove off.
When I got home, I saw my brother. His eyes were red and puffy.
