Seonghwa woke up to the soft rays of sunlight streaming through his window, the warm golden light making the room feel alive. He stretched, shaking off the remnants of sleep, and quickly glanced at the clock. “Shit, I’m late!” he muttered, scrambling out of bed.
His big passion was flowers. Ever since he was a kid, he’d found solace among the petals and leaves, each bloom telling a story of its own. Today was especially important—his sister’s wedding was just around the corner, and he had a million things to prepare. He quickly washed up and dressed, opting for a comfortable shirt and jeans before dashing out the door.
As he made his way to the flower shop, he mentally checked his to-do list. The arrangements had to be perfect. His sister had chosen the most beautiful, delicate flowers, and Seonghwa wanted to make sure every detail was just right.
When he arrived at the shop, he was greeted by the familiar scent of fresh blooms mingling in the air. “Good morning, Seonghwa!” Dami called out, a bright smile on her face as she arranged a bouquet of daisies.
“Morning!” he replied, returning her smile. “How’s everything looking today?”
“Busy, as always!” Dami laughed. “Yeosang’s in the back, and Minghao’s already setting up the front display. Keonhee just got here too.”
Seonghwa nodded, feeling a sense of comfort wash over him. His team was small but tight-knit, each person contributing their unique flair to the shop.
He made his way to the back room, where Yeosang was meticulously trimming stems. The younger man’s quiet demeanor always intrigued Seonghwa; there was something calming about him. “Hey, Yeosang.” he greeted softly. “Need any help?”
Yeosang looked up, his eyes widening slightly before a small smile crept onto his lips. “Uh, just trying to get these ready for the afternoon deliveries.” he said, his voice barely above a whisper.
“Let me lend a hand.” Seonghwa offered, stepping closer to assist. “You’ve got a knack for this; I’m sure we’ll get it done in no time.”
“Thanks.” Yeosang replied, a hint of relief evident in his tone.
As they worked side by side, Seonghwa noticed Dami and Minghao chatting nearby, laughter spilling over as they shared jokes. “What’s the plan for today?” Minghao asked, tossing a sprig of lavender into the air and catching it with a grin.
“Just another day of making the world a little prettier.” Dami replied, her enthusiasm infectious. “And we’ve got those special wedding arrangements to finish.”
“Right!” Seonghwa chimed in, a sense of determination setting in. “We have to make my sister’s day unforgettable.”
“I’m on it!” Yeosang said, rolling up his sleeves. “Let’s make some magic happen.”
Seonghwa couldn’t help but feel grateful for the camaraderie in the shop. Even Yeosang, usually quiet, was more relaxed in their lively company. The laughter and chatter enveloped him, fueling his excitement for the day ahead.
As they all dove into the preparations, Seonghwa couldn’t shake the feeling that this wedding would be something special—one filled with love, laughter, and the vibrant colors of flowers that spoke volumes. Each arrangement would carry a piece of their hearts, and he was determined to make it memorable for his sister.
“Alright, team, let’s get to work!” Seonghwa called, a grin spreading across his face. “We have a wedding to prepare for!”
Just as they were making a delightful disaster in a rush, the bell above the shop door jingled wildly. Hee came running in, his hair disheveled and a look of frantic urgency plastered across his face. “I’m late! I’m so sorry!” he exclaimed, skidding to a halt in front of the counter.
