Paradis was one prosperous kingdom. Located right in the middle of the earth, becoming a transit to thousands of ships from other continents. The perfect place to rest after a long journey.
The harbour was always filled with people. Not only travelling merchants could be seen there, but also children running around, playing kites or hide and seek as laughter resonated through the open, fresh air. The scorching sun gave no rest to them all, and yet, it didn't stop those kids from having fun.
As anyone walked through the port, no drunk adults could be seen as it was one of the rules in this Kingdom. Never drink booze outside, set an example to the young! Becoming a safe place for lots of families who just wanted to enjoy the beauty of the said island. This harmonious site had been famous throughout the years, and the number of tourists increased regardless of the season.
How could it not? There was always a place to stay. Inns and resorts were built to provide a place for them to feel at home. Not too much that it covered the scenery, no. Just the right amount as the King and the Queen aimed for their Kingdom to be the number one when it came to the prosperity and happiness of their citizens.
The torch was passed down from one generation to the next, never dwindling as the fire kept going ablaze with knowledge and love. It was thanks to them that Paradis could turn into such a magnificent place to live. And a few years from now, it would be their children's turn to maintain this abundant life.
"One group turns to the left, the other turns to the right!" This sight, however, had been common ever since the princess reached the age of eighteen. "She wouldn't be far! Be haste and secretive. Never worry the citizens. Understand?!"
"Yes, sir!"
When her brother left for other nations to gain alliances, she had been cooped out inside the palace. Studying and practising each necessity to be a proper descendant. It was almost three years since he travelled far, she was the one who would be there at every social event. The figure who people sought whenever they came to this island, alongside her parents.
So in her defence, surely it would be alright to explore her own land.
Her back was pressed against one of the stone walls. The ivy hid her from the guards that walked past her, and it was after the footsteps receding she was finally able to breathe normally. No matter how many times she had done this before, it was still thrilling, getting her heart pumping.
A small chuckle escaped her plump lips, and she only shook her head before pulling her hood down, covering her face as she ran in the opposite direction.
She discarded her heels, hiding them on one of the bushes as she wore leather boots instead, courtesy of one of her friends who helped her to unwind. It was her first acquaintance outside of the palace, someone without any title on her name, but had been incredibly faithful to keep her secret.
There were some tips that she received from her dearest friend, and one of them was to avoid the main road, going through each nook and cranny of the town instead, passing alleyways and small houses. Just a few minutes walk, then she would be greeted by a vast green land.
Blouse Farmstead.
Her feet immediately stopped as she tried to take everything in. Winter was right behind her as her eyes captured the flower that bloomed. The mild wind sent a shiver down her spine sometimes, but it was a great feeling alongside the warm sun rays, complementing each other.
This was one of the reasons the princess adored going outside without anyone around. Here, she was free. No sentries guarding her with a hawk-like gaze. Naught heavy dress or teachers trying to correct her every step. Just her and the island where she was born.
