M I N D

We entered the library and I started to look for Harry while Draco was just staring at one of the books in the shelves.

I spotted Harry with Hermione and Ron at one of the tables.

"Dray. Come on. I found them."
"Wh-. Oh. Let's go."

He walked behind me until I told.

"Hey Harry! Why did you call me here?"
"Hi sis. Wh-" Harry replied but Ron interrupted.
"Why is he here?" Ron told in a weird tone.
"Oh. Draco say hello to them."
"Hi Pottah, Weaslebee and Mudbl-"
"Nicely." I ordered, my eyes turning red.
"S-sorry. Hello. All three of you."
"Better. What were you guys telling?"
"Ron asked why he was here." Mione replied

"Oh he is here cause,"
"I wanted to accompany her."
"Why?" Harry said, glaring.
"Sev told him to."
"Who's Sev?" Mione asked.
"Our Potions professor. My godfather."
"Godfather?! Why didn't you tell me?"

I didn't find any words and just sat beside Harry with Draco on the other side.

"I thought you were about to tell him yesterday."
"I was I just forgot with all the pra- homework given."
Phew! That was close. Can't tell anyone about my powers now.

"Homework? We had homework?" Ron asked.
"No we didn't Ronald." Mione said.
"Then how did you get homework?" —- Harry
"Ummm...." I didn't know what to say.
"Snape is giving her extra work." Draco replied.

They nodded.

"Why did you call me here though?"
"For that HE needs to go. If not he will rat us out."
"I trust him. He won't. Will you Dray?"
"Nop. I won't."
"I still don't trust him." Harry answered.
"If you don't trust him, you don't trust me."
"Fine." Harry replied.

"Do you know why we were at Hagrid's the day you caught us."
"No. I never thought about it."
"So there is something in the school about to be stolen by Snape for You-Know-Who."
"If you are talking about the Socerer's stone, Severus won't steal it."
"How do you know about that?" Hermione asked.
"Me and Draco overheard it from the teachers."

I didn't overhear anything. I just... Read his mind?

Mind reading huh? Draco thought.
I nodded.

The three of them told us about their plans to stop the thief, Severus as they thought. I knew he wouldn't but no one believed me.

"So tomorrow we will sneak out."
"Oh shit." I whispered.
"What happened." Harry asked.
"Nothing," I lied "Where will we meet?"
"In front of Gryffindor common room."
"Alright. Yn let's go now."

I nodded.

I followed Draco to the Great Hall and we made our way to our friends at the Slytherin Table.

"Hey guys!" I said
"Hey girlie!!" Daph answered.

All of us gossiped about the rumours at school and are our food. In short we were having fun. But little did I know that it wouldn't last forever.

Lunch was over and now it was time for my Quidditch practice. Me and my friends made our way to the Quidditch pitch. I didn't want to get scolded or punished for being late.

"Yn! Finally you are not late!" Flint said
"It's not like I am always late." I said with a scowl
"You are. Ok so you need to be focused. You are the most important palaver here and all you need to focus on is the SNITCH! Understood? THE SNITCH!" He explained while the others went to the chairs.

"What about the bludgers?"
"The beaters will take care of it. You only need to focus on the snitch. Nothing else."
"Ok. Who are we against though?"
"Either Ravenclaw or Gryffindor. They have their match first then the one who wins is against us."

The practice went as usual. I caught the snitch but it was a bit hard for some reasons I don't remember.

"So tomorrow everyone needs to be here for the match. And even come for the Gryffindor vs. Ravenclaw match. We need to observe their tactics."
"Yes captain" everyone told in a chorus way.

Me and my friends made our way to the common room. We were all talking about things that happened and vacations they went on and all of that.

Everyone went to sleep but I wasn't sleepy so I sat near the fireplace with my transfigurations book. I didn't realise when Draco came and sat beside me.

"What are you doing?"
"Nothing. Just sitting here."
"Oh. I think tomorrow we should tell Snape about your mind reading thing."
"Yeah sure."
"Do you want to test it out now?"
"What do you mean?"
"Tell the number I am thinking."

Seven

"Seven"
"Colour?"
Green
"Green"
"Sentence? This should be hard."
I hate your brother.
"Wait- What? Why do you hate my brother?"
"He denied my friend request remember?"
"Ok."

We just sat there. Staring at the fire.

"It's already very late. We should go to bed."
"I guess."

We both went to our own dorms. I sat down on my bed and looked at Hazel. She was already sleeping. Snow flew onto my hand.

"I don't know but today was so tiring. I don't have a good feeling about this. It's so confusing and.... I just can't understand. What is happening to me? Why is it happening to me? I was happy enough already before I came here... and now it feels like I am distanced from everyone. Why ? Why?"

I questioned myself and cried to sleep. There was nothing I could do. I knew that. But Tess. I missed her. She was the only one person I cared about more than myself and now I won't even meet her.

But I need to stay strong. For my friends, Harry, Severus, everyone in that case.

I needed to stay strong.......
