Part 8

Xin Yi quickly gathered her belongings and rushed out of the studio, eager to head home after a long day of filming. As she stepped out into the cool evening air, she collided with a familiar figure.

Shàn Yuán-"You're going home now?"

he asked, his eyes crinkling at the corners.

Shàn Yuán-"It's too late."

Xin Yi nodded, adjusting her bag on her shoulder.

Xin Yi-"Yeah, I was just getting everything ready for tomorrow's shoot."

Shàn Yuán nodded thoughtfully.

Shàn Yuán-"I see. Let me walk you home then."

Xin Yi hesitated, feeling a flutter in her chest.

Xin Yi-"No, it's okay. I can..."

Shàn Yuán's expression turned firm.

Shàn Yuán-"I can't let you go alone. Let's go."

Xin Yi couldn't argue with that. She nodded,  As they walked, they fell into an easy conversation.

Shàn Yuán-"Thanks for the great conversation,"

he said, his voice low and husky.

Shàn Yuán-"I had a really nice time."

Xin Yi's heart skipped a beat.

Xin Yi-"I had a nice time too,"

she replied, her voice barely above a whisper.

Shàn Yuán-"Goodnight, Xin Yi,"

he said, his voice soft and gentle.

Xin Yi-"Goodnight, Shàn Yuán,"

she replied, her heart full of joy and anticipation.

Xin Yi was about to step inside when she heard Shàn Yuán's voice calling out to her.

Shàn Yuán-"Xin Yi!"

She turned around.

Xin Yi-"Yeah?"

Shàn Yuán walked towards her.

Shàn Yuán-"Do you have time tomorrow?"

Xin Yi nodded, her heart skipping a beat.

Xin Yi-"Yeah, I do."

Shàn Yuán's face lit up with a smile.

Shàn Yuán-"Will you join me for dinner?"
Xin Yi-"Yeah, sure."
Shàn Yuán-"Great. I'll pick you up at 7?"

Xin Yi nodded, feeling a sense of excitement and anticipation.

Xin Yi-"Okay."

Shàn Yuán smiled again, then turned and walked away, leaving Xin Yi feeling happy and a little bit breathless.

Next day.

As Xin Yi got into the car, Shàn Yuán couldn't help but notice how beautiful she looked. Her hair was tied up in a ponytail, and she was wearing a simple yet elegant dress.

Shàn Yuán-"Hey,"

he said, smiling at her.

Xin Yi-"Hey,"

Xin Yi replied, smiling back.

Shàn Yuán drove them to a quiet little restaurant. They sat down at a table, and Shàn Yuán handed Xin Yi a menu.

Shàn Yuán-"I'm really glad  to have a friend like you, and I hope we can be great friends."

he said, looking into her eyes.
Xin Yi's heart skipped a beat.

Xin Yi-"I'm glad too,"

she replied, smiling up at him.
As they finished their meal Shàn Yuán knew that he wanted to spend more time with Xin Yi. He wanted to get to know her better.

As the days went by, Xin Yi and Shàn Yuán grew closer, their friendship blossoming with each passing day. They would often meet up for coffee or lunch.
As the leads of the new upcoming series, they were in high demand. They had interview after interview, posing for photoshoots and attending press conferences. Despite the chaos of their schedules, they always made time for each other. They would often joke and laugh together during interviews, their chemistry and camaraderie evident to all.

One day, as they were sitting down for an interview with a popular entertainment magazine, the journalist asked them about their experience working together.

Xin Yi smiled, turning to Shàn Yuán.

Xin Yi-"It's been amazing, Shàn Yuán is not only an incredible actor, but he's also become a close friend."

Shàn Yuán's eyes crinkled at the corners as he smiled.

Shàn Yuán-"I feel the same way about Xin Yi, She's talented, kind, and beautiful."

The journalist smiled, nodding.

Journalist-"It's clear that you two have a special connection. Can you tell us a little bit about your characters in the series?"

Xin Yi and Shàn Yuán launched into a discussion about their characters.

As they left the interview, Xin Yi turned to Shàn Yuán, grinning.

Xin Yi-"That was fun,"

Shàn Yuán smiled back, his eyes sparkling.

Shàn Yuán-"Definitely, I'm so glad we get to share this experience together."

Xin Yi's heart skipped a beat at his words. She felt a flutter in her chest, a sense of excitement and possibility. She couldn't help but wonder what the future held for them – both on and off screen.
