The next day, Xie Li walked onto the set with a man in tow.

Xie Li-"Everyone, I'd like you to meet Mr. Wang,"

he announced, beaming.
The crew and cast welcomed Mr. Wang warmly, Xin Yi smiled and greeted him, trying to make him feel at ease.

As the day's shoot came to a close, Xie Li suggested that everyone head out for dinner to celebrate Mr. Wang's arrival.

As they were about to leave, Shàn Yuán approached Xie Li, looking apologetic.

Shàn Yuán-"I'm so sorry, but I have an important meeting I need to attend to, I won't be able to make it to dinner."

Xie Li nodded understandingly.

Xie Li-"No worries, Shàn Yuán. We'll catch up with you later."

Xin Yi, who was standing nearby, felt a pang of disappointment. But she smiled and waved goodbye.

As they dined, Xie Li suddenly got a call and excused himself, stepping outside with Tài Sún. Rú Xuán got up to use the restroom, leaving Xin Yi sitting alone with the rest of the crew members.
Mr. Wang, who had been chatting with the crew, suddenly got up and sat down in the chair beside Xin Yi. He smiled at her, his eyes gleaming with a sinister intent.

Mr. Wang-"Would you like a drink, Miss Xin Yi?"

he asked, his voice low and smooth.

Xin Yi shook her head, feeling a sense of unease.

Xin Yi-"No, thank you,"

she replied politely.

But Mr. Wang didn't take no for an answer. He reached out and placed his hand on her thigh, his fingers squeezing gently.

Mr. Wang-"You should enjoy your life, Miss,"

he said, his voice dripping with condescension.

Mr. Wang-"I can get you many offers, if you want. You just have to say the word."

Xin Yi's eyes widened in horror as she realized what was happening. She tried to speak, but her voice caught in her throat. With a surge of adrenaline, she removed Mr. Wang's hand from her thigh and jumped up from her seat. Without a word, she turned and ran out of the restaurant, leaving the stunned crew members and Mr. Wang behind.

Xie Li and Tài Sūn walked back into the restaurant, chatting quietly as they sat down at their table. A few minutes later, Rú Xuán entered, looking around the table with a questioning expression.

Rú Xuán-"Where's Xin Yi?"

She asked, turning to Xie Li.

Xie Li frowned, looking surprised.

Xie Li-"I thought she was with you,"

Rú Xuán shook his head.

Rú Xuán-"No, she wasn't. I went to the restroom alone."

Xie Li's expression turned concerned. He quickly got up and pulled out his phone, dialing Xin Yi's number. But as he waited for her to answer, his face fell.

Xie Li-"It's busy,"

he muttered, trying again.
Tài Sūn and Rú Xuán exchanged a worried glance.

Tài sún-"Maybe she's okay, Maybe she just needed some fresh air or something."

But Xie Li's expression remained tense. He tried calling Xin Yi again, but her phone was still busy.

On the other side.

Xin Yi quickly dialed Shàn Yuán's number as she walked away from the restaurant. She was trying to hold back tears, but her voice was shaking.
Shàn Yuán answered on the first ring.

Shàn Yuán-"Hey, what's the matter?"

he asked, his voice warm and concerned. Xin Yi tried to compose herself, but her voice cracked.

Xin Yi-"Nothing, I just wanted to hear your voice."

Shàn Yuán's tone changed, and he became more serious.

Shàn Yuán-"Xin Yi?...So, are you enjoying yourself with them?"

he asked, trying to sound casual.

Xin Yi- " Ya a lot. "

He could hear the tears in her voice, and his heart went out to her.
Xin Yi's eyes welled up with tears, and she quickly ended the call.

Xin Yi-"Okay, see you later,"

she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

Shàn Yuán was left holding his phone, a look of concern etched on his face. He knew something was wrong, and he was determined to find out what it was.

Shàn Yuán was about to get into his car when his phone rang. He looked at the screen and saw that it was Rú Xuán.

Rú Xuán-"Shàn Yuán! Did you talk to Xin Yi?"

Shàn Yuán's brow furrowed in concern.

Shàn Yuán-"Yeah, why?"

Rú Xuán's tone was worried.

Rú Xuán-"Is she fine? Where is she?"

Shàn Yuán's concern deepened.

Shàn Yuán-"Isn't she with you?"

Rú Xuán's voice was tight with anxiety.

Rú Xuán-"No. Please, can you find out if she's okay?"

Shàn Yuán's grip on his phone tightened.

Shàn Yuán-"Sure."

He quickly ended the call and dialed Xin Yi's number again. But this time, it went straight to voicemail. Her phone was switched off. Shàn Yuán's heart racing with worry, he quickly got into his car and started the engine. He put on his seatbelt and drove as fast as he could, his mind racing with worst-case scenarios.

Xie Li's brow was furrowed with concern as he drove to Xin Yi's home. He had tried calling her again, but her phone was still switched off. He couldn't shake off the feeling that something was wrong. As he arrived at Xin Yi's home. he quickly got out of the car and rushed.
She was not there too.
