Chapter : 6

~ Rather hurt than you hurt ~

- Venus -

The sun was warm and welcoming against my exposed back. I had slipped out of my shirt while I was asleep, so I was now left in my sports bra and shorts. I sighed and buried my face into the chest of a still very sleepy Prince. I smiled as Prince pulled me closer with her eyes still closed.

I mumbled to Prince, "I don't want to get up."

Prince chuckled softly as she ruffled my long and tangled hair, after realizing I had fallen back to sleep.

- Prince -

I slowly opened my eyes and flinched at the uninvited light. I blinked repeatedly trying to quickly get used to the brightness of the morning.

I turned my attention to Venus's sleeping form.

I barely even know her...

I won't lie. She looked beautiful.

I smiled to myself. The sunlight made her look godly, the way her skin glowed and her hair shined sprawled across her face and exposed shoulders. She then shuffled in bed and raised her head sleepily blinking as she met my admiring gaze.

"Why'm starin" I laughed at how slurred her words were.

"I don't know what you're talking about, I'm not staring at nothing."

"Mmm.. sure you weren't." I let out a soft chuckle and Venus kissed my forehead.

"Goodmorning Prince.."

I blushed mad hard and turned away from her mumbling, "Mornin"

She then poked my side causing me to jump and she giggled, "I'm so going to get you out of your comfort zone."

She smirked and I rolled my eyes, "Whatever get dressed already or something, we still have unfinished business."

"Oh! You want to finish that kiss from last night?"

I then groaned and she busted out laughing, "Oh my God.. you play all your life!"

"Mm.. who said I was playing."
She then placed herself in my lap and lifted my chin making me look her in the eyes. I instantly turned my head sideways but she faced it back her way, then she pecked me on the cheek before I pushed her off my lap.

She started laughing softly and I grabbed my tooth brush and toothpaste out of my book bag heading to her bathroom slamming the door shut.

By the time I finished getting ready I walked back into Venus's room to find her laying in nothing but her sports bra and boxers.

"Really?"

"What?"

"Why aren't you dressed?"

"Oh, I already am.."

"N–No you're not."

"Oh, shush. Yes I am, I already did my thing in my mother's bathroom. I just need to put on my clothes and tie my hair up."

"You really are spoiled..."

"Gaaaahdd! How many people are going to tell me that?" She groaned out.

"Everyone.."

We then started laughing and she slid on a T shirt along with a pair of jeans. She grabbed her keys and headed out while I followed right behind her.

Venus's mom, Marianne was in the kitchen cooking breakfast as we passed by.

"Going somewhere girls?"

"Yeah mom, we're going to Prince's house. She forgot something."

"Oh, okay baby girls. Make it back before breakfast gets cold. And, Prince please take care."

I nodded at her and then followed Venus out the door to her car.

"So you're just going to tell me where to go?"

"Right.."

She pulled out of her driveway then drove as I told her the directions. Once we got to my house about 20 minutes had pass. As she parked on the side I looked over at the house and a feeling of uneasiness took over body.

I don't think I can do this...

I felt Venus's hand on my theigh causing me to look up at her.

She smiled, "I'm going to be right by you the whole time."

I took a deep breath then proceeded out of the car.

My "father" wasn't home since his car wasn't in the driveway. I let out a huge sigh of relief and rung the doorbell.

Few moments later I heard small footsteps running towards the door. The door flew open and instantly my little brother flew into my arms. I picked him up laughing as he hugged me tight.

"Heeey buddy, you ready to go?"

"Yes! I even packed my own stuff sis."

I smiled at him, "Alright let's go get them then."

I looked back at Venus and she was leaning on her car smiling, "Well go ahead."

I nodded at her and took my brother to his room. I helped him get all his little suitcases and held his hand leading him to the front door.

"We're going to have lots of fun over at Venus's house."

"Sis, who's Venus?"

"Ah... how rude of me. I forgot to introduce you to her. She's right ov-"

I stopped dead in my tracks as I looked over at Venus, She was staring at something signaling me to stop. All of a sudden she started running my way, "GET DOWN NOW!"

I grabbed Chris then ducked down just as Venus reached me, hovering over us.

She was trying to protect us from something but what?

My thoughts were interrupted by gun shots. I quickly closed my eyes and covered Chris's ears as they went off. Once the round of gun shots stopped I opened my eyes and my heart almost stopped.

"VENUS!"
