Charlotte's POV:

The days that followed the meeting flew by in a blur of activity. I dedicated myself to my work, signing deals with brands and attending promotional events for Miss Grand. I participated in several live sessions selling products and managed to keep my focus on my responsibilities.

In just a couple of days, Engfa and I would be flying to Phuket for a series of important meetings. Nawat had informed us that we would be staying at a luxurious five-star hotel, which had graciously agreed to host meetings with potential investors. Engfa, as the manager, was set to be the representative of Miss Grand, and since I was a shareholder in the company, I was required to attend as well.

On the day of our flight, the atmosphere was charged with a sense of purpose. As we boarded the plane, I felt a strange mix of excitement and apprehension. I reminded myself that this was a professional trip and that I was committed to keeping things civil between us.

When we landed in Phuket, the humid air enveloped me as we made our way to the hotel. We were assigned separate rooms—a welcome arrangement—and I took a moment to appreciate the view from my balcony before settling in for the night.

The next day dawned bright and clear. I dressed carefully in a sleek blouse and tailored trousers, ready to present myself as the confident woman I was determined to be. Engfa and I exchanged polite nods as we met in the hotel lobby, maintaining the civil demeanor we had established over the past few days.

The meeting was a whirlwind of discussions and presentations. I watched as Engfa expertly navigated the room, her professionalism evident as she answered questions and articulated our goals with clarity and passion.

"We believe that investing in Miss Grand will not only yield a profitable return but also strengthen community ties and promote our values," Engfa stated confidently, gesturing toward the slide behind her showcasing the brand's impressive growth statistics.

A potential investor raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "And how do you plan to leverage your ambassadors' influence to reach a broader audience?"

"That's a great question," I chimed in, feeling the momentum shift toward me. "We're launching a new social media campaign where our ambassadors will share personal stories and connect with fans. It's all about authenticity and building real relationships with our audience."

"Exactly," Engfa added, a flicker of approval in her gaze. "We want to create a community that feels engaged and invested in our mission, not just spectators."

The investor nodded thoughtfully, scribbling notes. "It sounds promising. I'm particularly interested in the metrics you plan to use to gauge the campaign's success."

"We'll be tracking engagement rates, follower growth, and audience sentiment through surveys and analytics," I replied, feeling a surge of confidence. "The aim is to ensure we're not only reaching our target audience but also resonating with them."

The meeting continued, filled with technical discussions, and I felt a sense of pride swelling within me. We had accomplished what we set out to do, and as we stepped out of the conference room, a collective sigh of relief echoed among the team.

Engfa and I headed back to our rooms, but instead of sharing casual conversation or plans for lunch, we simply exchanged polite smiles before parting ways. The silence hung heavy between us, a reminder of the distance that had grown since our earlier days together. I couldn't help but feel a twinge of disappointment as I closed the door behind me.

With a sigh, I settled into my hotel room, my mind racing with thoughts of the future. I had accepted the distance between us, reminding myself that this was a work trip, but that didn't mean it didn't sting a little.
