The Munson's aren't the kind of people to own formal clothing.
Chrissy Cunningham had made her party a cocktail theme, because she's young and fun and her sister is dead—Alright.
Kaimer is borrowing a dress from Julia, but she's wearing ballet flats. It's all she had.
Eddie seems to be in too big slacks and a simple white shirt with a leather jacket over that. He didn't care to try too hard.
Reese can't stop staring at his clothes. He's in jeans with a stripes patterned button up. The colors on it are blue, white, and black. His shoes are old loafers from his dad, he assumes. They'd been left around in one of their closets from the old house. Someone back then said they could be useful when they were moving out. Reese can't remember who had said it. Kaimer told him he looked adorable, like she always does. Reese had just rolled his eyes at her theatrics, but it did calm his heart a tad.
Now, Reese's eyes gently flicker over to his older brother in the drivers seat. His leg won't stop fucking bouncing against the flooring of the truck. Kaimer doesn't seem to notice, and if she does, she's acting like it's not happening. She's staring out the window, looking at the Elrod house—waiting for the door to open. She gets childishly giddy around her best friends.
They're parked out front, across the street, waiting on June and Lydia.
Reese sucks in a breath, looks over at his brother completely. The eye contact doesn't catch Eddie's attention. "You're shaking the entire truck, Ed." Now, both Eddie and Kaimer are staring at the youngest of the three. He shudders a little under their gazes. He doesn't like attention on him like this. "What's the matter with you?" Reese mumbles, slouching into the passenger seat more. Kaimer's eyes now flicker to Eddie.
Eddie scoffs, "Why does something have to be wrong with me. I'm good."
Kaimer hums, arms folding over her chest. She's a little cold in her shorter dress, and of course, she didn't bring anything to layer with. She always seems to be cold. "Your bouncing leg totally tells us you're fine." So, she did notice. Of course she did. Shes their sister. She notices everything.
Both brothers look back at her now. Eddie glaring, Reese amused and smiling.
Eddie shifts in his seat, "Look, I don't fuck with parties. You both know this."
"You didn't have to come," Reese mumbles. He picks at a loose thread on his jeans. He should probably stop. He already feels like shit. His old jeans aren't helping.
