"So, what's this all about again?" (Y/n) questioned as she walked out on the sidewalk, taking in the evening light shining on her from the sky. A crisp wind had started to take hold of the October air but it oddly seemed to comfort her rather than cause her to still feel building discomfort. She had been in shambles all morning from anxiety as the constant refreshing of her local news sites had shown articles about a string of recent murders. Apparently, a dead body was found inside of a laundromat and then just a couple hours later, three more bodies turned up at a gas station. They were completely mutilated beyond recognition, making that familiar dread creep up inside of her. She heard that her former friend was currently on the run after she was the one that mutilated that TV show host.

(Y/n) couldn't even believe that Victoria was capable of doing this but she was pretty mentally unstable due to everything that happened. Still, she doubted that the girl was behind these other deaths. This was something eerily similar, the clown had made a reappearance somehow. He was alive somewhere but how could she get anyone to believe her? Well, she'd just have to try.

"I told you...there's this sick Halloween party downtown and we both need sick costumes! I have one already so now all you need to do is get your hot self down to the store and buy a good one" Zara said from over the phone. "Speaking of, did you get Lance to agree?" She asked.

(Y/n) frowned at the mention of her boyfriend because it really did seem like he was avoiding her lately. "Um...I don't think he's going" She said softly as she stopped near the entrance of the costume shop. "Listen, I'm here so i'll talk to you later" She excused herself before hanging up.

The small store's bell chimed as she pushed the door open and stepped inside. It was a really cute spot with a bunch of really cool looking costumes and accessories. She frowned a little because the last time she had came here was when Tara and Dawn dragged her out with them to look for stuff. If only she convinced them to stay home that night. This party would definitely be giving her some bad memories.

The man behind the counter looked up and sent a small smile her way as he continued counting the money he had in the register. "Welcome! I hope you find everything okay, ma'am. Come up when you're ready" He greeted that standard greeting that every costumer usually got.

(Y/n) smiled gently back at him before she was wandering along the aisles to gaze at the selection. She didn't even know what she was going as this year since the thrill of Halloween left her a while ago. She knew that if she didn't find a suitable costume, Zara would actually be on her ass about it.
