A/N Hey everyone this is my first story that I've ever planned on publishing, so I apologize for any grammatical errors. I'm going to try to revise as much as possible. Oh and I need to shout out to my bestie hLIZZY she's an awesome writer and really inspired me to share my writing with others.
---------------------------
It's early Monday morning and I fall asleep on the bus ride to school. Nothing unusual, I'm the first one onto this two-hour long bus ride. I remain deep in my slumber until I am awaken by a soft tap on my shoulder, I'm sure that it's just someone trying to fool with me. then it dawned upon me that the bus was no longer rolling on its well worn tires and was halted because someone wanted my opinion. I then rose from my groggily slumber to see a boy with hair whiter than the snow that rest on the evergreen trees outside, and an outfit that was just as bizarre as his hair, he donned a black short sleeve top under a white jacket, with a pair of white denim jeans, and solid black tennis shoes. It seems peculiar for a boy to wear white at school, unless during lab work.
"Is this seat taken?" asked the boy"Oh...uh...no, you can sit there," I stammered
"Thanks, but for the record it's the only seat left soooo......yeah," he stated
"I figured. not many people take pleasure in sitting with me."
I gathered my things and shuffled next to the window. the bus continued it's obnoxious drive to Northwood's School for Gifted Children l, or as I like to call it Northwood's Prison for the Superior Individuals. The entirety of the school's student body consist of every advanced engineer, mathematician, scientist, technologists, and litterateur, under the age of 18 in Northwood. after they gather us in one large building they put us to work, based on our talents and IQs. If you think that your AP classes are hard you should try taking Psychological Studies while writing a book for Advanced literary in under two weeks.
"I don't know who 'not many people' is, but I'm Asher Blue, and so far I enjoy sitting with you."
"I'm Kath-uh Andi Grey, nice being forced to acquaint you."
"Your social life's pleasure."
"Haha. You're really funny" I say sarcastically, "but it looks like we are arriving at our destination."
"Indeed we are, but may I ask what you speciality is?"
I've been dreading this moment since the incident over three years ago. Not everyone here is just a mathematician or an engineer, some of us here have special abilities over the five essential elements such as, air, water/ice, fire, rock/earth, and energy. I am one of them. Fire just happens to be my element, the rarest and most feared element there is. Hopefully, Asher will believe that I am an advanced literature and science student and not get suspicious. I'm definitely NOT a good liar.
"I...I...I'm an advanced literature and science student."
"What an astounding coincidence. I am as well! Maybe we will have some classes together. it would be an honor to engage in conversation, my dearest Andi, but alas I think the bus driver wants us to get off," he says motioning to the front of the bus.
"Indeed she is, sir Asher, my superior vocabulary will have to wait."
