Asher made the absolute most invigorating decision to pass notes to me all during poetic components asking me all about different restrictions and the amount of demerits deemed acceptable until expulsion, instead of waiting for the fifteen minute break the school requires us take in order to 'refrain our brains from being overworked' and to make it legal for them to keep us here from 6am until 6pm.

After break period we went about our day traveling from classroom to classroom laughing at our own poetic jokes, and configuring multistep formulas that represent simple compounds. The day went on well until our last class. I didn't notice earlier, but for Asher and I to have the same schedule meant that we both take elementals. Which means that Asher has elemental powers and that he would also find out about....mine. I tried to pretend I was sick, but then I realized I couldn't leave him alone on his first day of elementals. He could potentially have an incident similar to mine. At first the small class of 15 was just doing textbook work and taking notes on various topics, until our instructor demanded that we got into pairs and showcased our talents. My plan was for Asher to go first, then just let him continue until class was over, but of course he is the most persistent person in this room and insisted that I go first. I started of slowly and carefully. I told Asher to place his palms on mine, so he could feel the light dance of heat radiating off of them. I started to pull away, but Asher's voice kept me from doing so.

"You're a fire user aren't you?" he whispered lightly, "don't worry I'm not afraid."

Those three simple words seemed to fill me with a literal fire that I could not extinguish. I felt as if I could do anything....everything. I haven't felt this way in three years. For three years I haven't felt the fire dance across my fingers. for three years I had forgotten who I was and all it took to remind me was three words from the mouth of Asher Blue. I look into his icy blue eyes and conjure a ball of blue fire into my hand, just to spin it into the air and turn into a firework like explosion, I was only getting warmed up. I conjured another set crackling flames in each palm, outstretched them into fiery ropes and cracked them like whips across the dark stone floor. As soon as I did that I realized I needed to stop or things would get out of control again. Within seconds the flames diminished into a mere warmth over my hands and knew everyone was safe....from me.
