Respite

It wasn't that long ever since the Scouts return from the 57th expedition. The surviving scouts were to be summoned to the capital within the next two days. Amongst those that survived, an injured Y/N with a dislocated left ankle and a minor cut to the head when he was yanked down to the ground by the female Titan, was currently resting in the infirmary as it was the dead of night.

Although his state of rest wouldn't last long as he would awaken from his slumber, groaning as he slowly sat himself up in bed. His body was sore all around, he could still feel pain down to his left ankle, and he still remembered what happened to the Levi Squad, and what he did to get himself into this state.

He sighs as he gets an elbow crutch that was conveniently left besides his bed he slept in throughout the day after their return from the 57th expedition as he carefully hobbles out with the elbow crutch supporting him. His mind only wondering to sustenance and tea. He didn't eat anything at all ever since they left Calaneth district. Maybe tea would do.

He managed to safely reach the mess hall as he opens the door and enters only to find Commander Erwin, Levi, Eren, Mikasa, Armin and Jean in the middle of an important discussion.

"Y/N, what are you doing up at this time? You should be in bed recovering." Mikasa said as she stood up from her chair.

Y/N gestured her to sit back down as he lets out a dry sigh.
"I only came here because I'm hungry and I need some tea, but I guess I came at the wrong time."

He was about to turn to leave but Erwin called out to him.

"We don't mind, Y/N. We were discussing about the female Titan, maybe you have some insight on the identity of who it is." Erwin inquired.

"It's Annie Leonhardt no doubt." Y/N answered a moment after Erwin questioned him.

Eren had a surprised/disbelief expression, Mikasa and Armin seemed calm about it as they knew as well, more like Armin told them earlier before Y/N arrived.

"Annie, why do you think that Y/N? Don't tell me you're also agreeing with Armin!" Eren was in disbelief, still not believing the female Titan to be Annie, their fellow Cadet from the 104th.

"Eren. There's no doubt in what I saw with my own eyes. And I know you saw it too. Her fighting stance, that specific stance she's always resorted to using when in a sparring match is a clear indication that it's her." Y/N said without missing a beat.

"B-But—"

"She was out to get you, Eren. She is the enemy Commander Erwin asked us about. If you can't get that through that thick skull of yours and do what's necessary, you'll be risking your own safety and everyone else's."
Y/N growled as his voice was sounding raspy the more he spoke, he definitely needed a cup of tea.

Levi gestured Y/N to sit which he did as he drags a chair over and sat besides him, to which Levi then pours him a cup of tea.

"Eren. Y/N is right. You have to do what's necessary if we are to capture Annie. And, he can't be there to help us either." Mikasa tried convincing Eren.

Mikasa looked over to Y/N who drank the cup of tea, keeping his left leg still, not that there'd be any point in trying to move it any more until he made a full recovery.
