The moon glittered softly, millions of people stood outside their homes, and those without them, awoke to the same sight or lack there of in the sky. He was a feeling, a voice in the air. The whole earth was woken into a trancelike dream.

He took a deep breath in then breathed out. A stink of fresh cherry blossoms and frogs flesh filled the air making some cough and others breath in deeply.

"Just like Father, the sheep will come." He said, softly, almost purely his voice echoing a thousand languages all at once.

"Worship me, and you will live."

Some in their dreamlike trance even began to think of bowing, not knowing if this was the devil or God not having heard either before.

Thousands of gold coins began to fall from the sky. People began to grasp for them but they wouldn't come. Then one by one they called out, "I worship you!"

They felt the cool gold in their hands.

"I am Mammon, I am your God," The voice from before called out authoritatively, humor and disgust palpable in his voice.

They began to awake, some quickly as they were closer to the eastern hemisphere and some after hours.

It didn't take long for the news to catch on to what had happened. At first it was a joke, a sort of "Is the dress blue or did the devil talk to the whole human race." Then news of Turkey spread. And so did the ravaging of the demons. A force of thousands upon thousands of flying creatures each with speed multiplied beyond any human.

The military bases were the first to be attacked, it didn't take long to realize though that you can't buy a soldier from their family. Morale was low and it got lower when the howls of demons came.

In Germany one went down, and the soldiers began to holler and cheer. Then Thelasian stood above them his eyes glittering in the darkness dark blue and light green.

"You want nothing. But to see your children safe. To see her again, to see him. You took this job for stability and for purpose, but what if they kill them one by one?"

"He must be an angel..." One said, lowering his weapon.

"I am," he said, smiling the wind and clouds swirling behind him.

The U.K wasn't much better, imagine the horror of one of your soldiers turning on his comrades, saying that it was because Satan offered him a palace in hell. Right before actual demons crawl over the fences.

Malag hovered over a giant line of tanks sent by the United States government. He lifted his hand and touched the air. The soldiers looked on, not being able to discern if he was an angel or not. Pitch black darkness fell like a mist over the thousands of soldiers and their weapons. Then the screams of hell overtook them. One grabbed his rifle and began firing at the air only to realize during the moments of flashing fire that he was only killing his own comrades. Then they came in waves. Hundreds, each picking off one at a time, their claws scratching and grinding the flesh in quick bouts as they flew past.

The mist faded and Malag held their commander in his hands far above in the sky. His radio un-benknownst to him, still on. "Would you give up your men?" Malag cooed, spit slivering out of his lips. "To live of course," The commander's eyes fell towards the ground and his stomach churned.

"Yes, I bow, you are my God!" The coward yelled.

"Fuck you!" The officer under him yelled over the radio.

"You'll do well at home," Malag scoffed.

"I was a coward! I was a fool!" He yelled falling ever downwards, his men heard him scream.
