After yesterday's evening Xie Lian fell asleep as soon as he got home and now it was time to wake up again.

He got ready for school and stepped out to walk. As he was walking, he passed the shop, where he bought Hua Cheng's gift and hoped that he actually liked it. Now that his school was just around the corner, he felt the strong urge to turn back and go home, again. But he never actually did it.

When he stepped inside, he saw a lot of groups of people and made sure to pass by them quietly, without them noticing him, but while walking to his locker, he saw a group of people from his class sneaking looks at him and talking about something. He had a bad ferling about it, but needed to get to his locker, so he ignored it and continued walking till he go there and grabbed all the things he needed. He turned around to walk to class and on his way, he heard the same group gossiping about him.

"What is that, did y'all see him?"

"Do you also have no friends?"

"Is he gay, he looks like a girl"

He looked to the ground as he walked past them and sped up. When he finally got to his classroom, he sat down, noticing that Hua Cheng is already there. He turned back to look at Xie Lian. Xie Lian made eye contact with him and smiled, when seeing the earrrings he's wearing.

"Hi"

"Hey" Xie Lian responded.

"How you doing this morning?" Hua Cheng looked at him with a worried look, because of yesterday.

"Ah! I'm good...uh..I heard someone gossiping about me this morning.."

"About you? What were they saying?"

"Just the usual things. That I have no friends and look gay" he looked down again and the fellow sensed his tone changing.

"Don't take it to heart gege, they don't deserve you. I like you the way you are and always will"

Xie Lian blushed at the last sentence and thanked him for his kind words. After that the bell rang and Hua Cheng turned back. The teacher greeted them as always and said that he has an announcement to make.

"You all know that it's March and the end of the school year is just around the corner, which means we will be going on a 2 day field trip"

"Before any questions, it's mandatory and I would be happy if everyone attended. You will be staying in rooms for 4 people, so you should make groups soon"

Xie Lian sighed, he didn't want to go and especially to be in a room with his classmates. That was like his biggest nightmare for him.

Then the class continued as usual, with people already discussing their groups. When the bell rang again, Hua Cheng turned back.

"Gege want to be together?"

"Sure! Oh yea I almost forgot, Shi Qingxua-"

"Hua Cheng!"

Both of them turned their gaze to the small group of people that was standing next to them, two girls and one boy. They were smiling widely and gave Xie Lian dirty looks.

"I bet you don't have a group yet, right? Be with us!" one of them said.

"Oh actually I do" he replied.

"You do? Oh, no big deal, just go with us, we will talk to them"

"No. I'd rather stay with him" his smile dropped and he looked to his side, seeing Xie Lian's saddened expression, like he thought that he would give up on him and go with others.

"You're with him?" they paused and looked at Xie Lian "uhh... okay, I won't force you" one of them said and they turned around to leave.

"Like I'd be with them" Hua Cheng said quietly as they left. Xie Lian just laughed a bit and stared to the ground he knew that Hua Cheng won't last long. He will leave him one day after all. So why must he be so attached to him? People in his life always come and go after a while. Or they never even come.

This time none of them was late and they walked towards the bar like last night. The walk was quiet as always, but it didn't bother any of them. They were walking past an art shop, when Hua Cheng stopped him and told him that he needs to buy something and that it won't take long, so now Xie Lian was waiting outside whilst Hua Cheng was inside the store. He tried to look though the windows, but he was behind the shelves, making himself unable to be seen.

After a minute he walked to the cashier and then outside.

"What did you buy?" Xie Lian looked at him.

"Just some tools...for sculpting"

"Ah I see"

Guys I'm really not really sure about the length of those chapters (╥﹏╥)
Would it be better if they were longer maybe?
