Miguel Raffetò POV"So you gonna say it then?"
I stepped into the office, sliding into one of the armchairs as Z and Rome looked back at me. Whilst it was a Saturday and I wanted to be anywhere but work, I enjoyed any time I got to spend with my buddies. And it helped that the work Rome needed assistance with turned out just to be a five minute task.
"Say what?" Rome said with a crooked grin.
"Sorry for not believing that the girl you've been talking about is actually very much real."
They both snickered at my instruction. "For all we know you could've paid some random to answer the phone to me." Zero shrugged as I threw a paperclip at him.
"She's 100% real thank you very much."
"Whatever you say Guel, whatever you say." I was just about to give up this conversation when Pollie walked in.
Her arms were wrapped round various files and she wore a bright smile on her face as she saw all three of us in Romes office.
But I'd like to point out that it got brighter the moment she spotted me.
"Hey guys." She greeted, throwing the folders onto Romes desk before squealing on the spot. "So, Etta right?" Finally, someone who believes me.
Pollie rounded the desk, climbed sideways on her boyfriend's lap whilst staring me down like I was a gossip tabloid.
"Tell me all about her Migs. Does she wanna come round for dinner one night? Or we can have girl to girl and gossip about you? Or, or-"
"Poll doll, unlike these dickheads, thank you for believing I didn't pay someone to pretend to be her. But I'm gonna have to stop you before you make any assumptions."
They all looked at me like I was crazy.
"Etta and I are just friends."
Yet again, they all laughed at me and I was left wondering if I needed new people to hang out with.
"Stop being mean to me." I sulked like a kid, getting the reaction I was aiming for when Pollie stood and walloped both Z and Rome round the head, even though she was also laughing.
"You're gonna regret that Stella." Rome growled out to his girl, only making me and Zero roll our eyes.
"Whilst your foreplay is cute and all, we were talking about me."
Pollie and Romeo snapped at me but ignored them.
"As I was saying. Me and Etta are friends right now, and she's a bit of an introvert. Not to mention I've known her under a week, so before you guys can scare her off, I'm keeping her a secret."
Pollie pouted, walking over to me and opening her arms. "Apology hug?"
I couldn't resist.
Hugging Poll doll, Romeo was flipping me off over her shoulder whilst Z looked at me incredulously.
"What's up with your face?" I teased him.
