As Palutena stood up from having her soul restored into her body, her face met with Pit's and they smiled at each other. Then of course...
"Oh enough of the mushy crud! There has to be laws against this sorta thing!" Viridi groaned. Pit sighed and looked over at Dark Pit.
"Thanks Pitoo, I couldn't have done it without you. I owe you one!" Pit said smiling.
Dark Pit's eyebrow raised. "How about I use it so that you never call me that again? Now if you excuse me, I have things to fight with," he said bored and was about to jump off the edge when he remembers. "Shoot. No powers... Hey can one of you gods help me...?"
"I take Pit, you take Dark Pit, Palutena? After all it is somewhat your fault he came around!" Viridi said. She wanted to admit, she enjoyed Pit's company the past few days, and wanted it to last a little longer. But she could never admit that.
"It's fine by me, after all, I am quite curious about Dark Pit, what's different and what isn't between the two of them. Come on Pitoo... Dark Pit," Palutena said and a beam of light shone around Dark pit and shot him back to Skyworld.
"Hey, Pit. You hungry? Don't answer that, knowing you... you always are. I was thinking of going out to get a bite, and thought to take you around as a victory prize. So, you up for it?" Viridi said calmly, although back at where she was, she was deep red.
"Did you just ask me out?" Pit asked smirking.
"What? No! I said as a Victory prize. You know I'm not into anyone!" Viridi said flustered. She wasn't. At least she didn't think so.
"Can I just relax in the hot spring a little? I just need to slow down." Pit said tiredly, he was battered up. Viridi thought about it.
"Alright. Wanna let me join you? I mean... Creating your flight path... Grind rails, allowing you to fly, it's exhausting! I could use some hot spring action," Viridi said thoughtfully. "I'm taking you back now."
And as that sentence ended a pale green light with different coloured leaves surrounded Pit and led him back to Viridi's domain. Once again, Viridi was waiting at the doors. "Are you serious about joining me?" Pit asked nervously, a small amount of red on his cheeks.
"Hey I do the same as you! It saves a fortune on water and it's clean and I... Well it just makes me feel better, knowing that no one can peep..." She mumbles. Pit sighs and walked inside and threw his used stealth claws into the gear room, hearing a shatter.
"Aww man! Did it again!" Pit groaned and looked at the blades, which were a metallic grey, fully visible and shattered like glass.
"Dyntos is not gonna be happy with you, Pit. Be more careful!" Viridi sighed, one hand on her forehead looking down stressed.
"Sorry Lady Viridi. I'll be more careful," Pit murmured apologetically.
Viridi looked up at Pit. Wondering if she heard him right. "One sec... Lady? Did you just call me Lady Viridi?" She asked scratching her head. Pit nodded. "And you're listening to me?" Again, Pit nodded. "No snappy comeback? No witty jokes? No references?"
Pit shook his head. "Although you can be extremely annoying and mean to me... You're still a goddess and I must respect that, and you." He held his hand out. "Let's go to that hot spring! It feels like it doubles the speed of healing than others!"
"Flattery will get you nowhere, Pit, now back off. I don't need some angel to hold my hand!" The goddess spoke quietly, all though she desperately wanted to grab his hand and throw him across the room. Or... Run with him to the hot spring. She stepped up each stair ahead of the angel walking a few steps behind her. She stepped into the hot spring and waited for Pit to join her, which he did. He sat on one end of a small circular pool of hot spring water, while Viridi sat opposite him.
"Thank you," The young angel sighed, keeping his gaze off of Viridi. "For um... Well helping me save Palutena, and Pitoo, and get the Lightning Chariot, and... Talking to me."
Viridi tilted her head. "It's no problem, I just did wha- wait...Talking to you? You hate the majority of anything that comes out of my mouth." She mumbled.
"True. But at least I had someone to talk to. Apparently if I'm all alone or feel like I'm alone, I start playing other character's parts," he explained.
Viridi laughed. "I knew you were sad, but I never knew to what extent!"
"Ok... Let's try something. I compliment you, you compliment me," Pit said annoyed. Viridi nodded. "Let's see... It's admirable how much you care for the Earth."
Viridi smiled. "Well somebody has to! Hmm... Your devotion to Palutena is certainly... I can't think of the word. But I bet you have a shrine to her!"
"..."
"No. No way. Oh that is just so rich!" The goddess howled with laughter. "You have a shrine to Palutena? Oh Pit... That's adorable! But never gonna happen. It's amazing how many times you get 'finished' you always bounce back. Now that's resilient."
"Big words... Hey can I ask you a question?" Pit tilted his head. Viridi nodded. "Why did you want me to shut up about the loading screen? And Komatos looking like little metroi-"
"We shouldn't talk about that stuff! But I guess I can explain to you... Okay firstly if you haven't guessed, we're part of a video game. We're just characters. And this isn't even the game anymore, someone has decided to write a fanfiction about a Romance between two of the characters. I think Dark Pit and Palutena. Everything I'm saying is written by whoever is writing the fic. And there goes the fourth wall..." She mumbles the last part. "And as for the Komatos, that gaming universe has nothing to do with ours, alright?"
Pit looks dumbfounded. "That's so cool!
