ASH'S POV:
I walked. I never really knew why mum asked me about this. About my best friend, well boyfriend now I guess. About everything I knew about him. Like why, just why?
Also a lot on my acting. Like I am a West End actor what did she expect? For me to be in some low cost play? I get that she was wanting to know because she could never see me but still.
'Hi? ' I teared open the basement door. Silence. Nothing was here. I walked over the creaking floorboards, to the gun shelf, one was missing, a pocket knife too.
The clicking of the gun made me jump as I turned around to my mum smiling back at me. 'Good day. ' she jumped down from the desk. 'Yeah. I think? ' She ruffled my hair. 'What do you mean you think? '
'No... I mean where'd you come from? '
'Does that matter? Anyway how was work? ' Her intention was to distract me from her questions to come I was sure. 'Fine. ' I smiled, knowing what she was going to say next. 'Why? Why does my boy, who was obsessed and still is with acting not like it anymore? ' she teased, a grin growing over her face. 'No actually, work was great. 'Good, what's the schedule for the week. '
'Usual. ' I shrugged.
'Soooo like?'
'Wake up. Get to the theatre, read through the scripts, rehearse a bit of scenes, dress rehearsal, the warmup, the dressing rooms and then we're on. ' I said. 'Well that's now opening nights over. '
'Right' she nodded. 'How was it? Opening night I mean.'
'Yeah, pretty wild actually, but you know, I am actually pretty proud to call it work. ' I smiled, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘐 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘪𝘴 𝘯𝘪𝘤𝘦.
'Cool well that's about it, you can go now. ' she waved me off, but I didn't move. 'No more questions? ' I asked.
'No, that's it, but what days are you working? '
'Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays and if this is to do with the organisation DO NOT SAY IT. ' she opened her mouth then closed it again. 'Ok fine I won't today. ' I shook my head, slamming the basement door behind me.
