The ornate desks were once again set up. This time it was the real performance. I counted the seconds. There were only 10 until I was on. 1...2...3....4... I counted upon my fingers. I walked on, feeling the audience's eyes upon me. We'd rehearsed this millions of times.'Ha! He's really just a wimp isn't he? ' Jason was played by Kelton Remold, this wasn't his first production as he'd been in two already. 'No he's not! ' I screamed, looking upon Ash, who started back blankly. 'Oh really? Not a-' Jason/Kelton shouted, beginning to beat Ash/Casper. 'Stop! Stop!' I got in between the two as the stage began to rotate us off. The first scene was done.
We raced back around the other side of the stage, I trailed behind Ash from the left side. 'You didn't need to do that. ' he muttered, just loud enough for the audience to hear. 'Yes I did Cas. ' he shook his head. 'Nope, I was handling it Asher.' I shook my head, and pointed a finger at him. 'You've got a black eye, and I would have been worse if I'd not stopped him. ' The makeup made it look as if Ash did have a black eye. It was so effective that sometimes during rehearsal I thought he actually did. 'Oh well. ' The brunet shrugged. 'It was only a wee scratch. ' he made a tiny circle with his fingers. 'If you say so. ' I rolled my eyes, walking off stage as the lights dimmed.
Ash was on next, with Jade Otter. Jade played his mum in Midnights, Julia. Julia was a well known spy working for a secret organization, Oaklyn Brookeland. This scene as far as I was aware from the read throughs, included then talking about the organization, Casper was destined to join. Ash came up to me, signalling '𝘠𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘶𝘱' with his fingers.
I walked on, alone. For the set has now changed, now displaying an empty library. The music started as I made my way up the staircase. '𝘐 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘴𝘦𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘵𝘴 - 𝘒𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘦 𝘎𝘢𝘳𝘧𝘪𝘦𝘭𝘥' began playing as the stage began to rotate and change around me. For this scene was one of confusion. When Ash entered, I didn't know where from, with a fake gun. Someone else entered behind him, grabbing the gun from him and holding it up to his neck. For the library was no more. The lights faded as did the music, the staircase carried off.

The first act was done, for it only contained four scenes, the next act contained about Seven. The interval was only about twenty minutes so the time I got down the staircase and to the dressing room, only ten minutes remained.
Ash was already waiting for me, smiling broadly as he saw my face. 'Heyyy' he stood up ruffling my hair as I walked in. 'Stop! Stoooopppp! ' he smiled smugly. 'Nope!' He continued, until I sat down. He slumped in the seat next to me. 'You did good. ' he waited for a reply but I was in a daze. 'You did good. ' Ash repeated. 'Wh- oh erm you did good to you know?' he laughed. 'This isn't my first production though, I was in The Boy Who Made It Rain before. '
'I know, I am not that dumb. '
'Never said you were. Anyway we better go. ' he said as he pulled me up.•••|×|•••
We walked in unison across the stage. 'I am telling you, I saw a person put a gun to your head. ' I crossed my arms refusing to believe the brown eyed boy, who denied me with every step. 'Your dream seems a bit odd if I do say so myself, probably imagining me as a spy. ' I threw my arms in the air. 'Whatever Casper. ' The first scene to Act two was done.
The stage rotated, revealing a desk, with a young looking teacher, dressed in a black suit. 'I am telling you. ' I said approaching him. 'He's a spy. Mr Ajar, he's a spy. ' Mr Ajar was played by one of my old secondary school teachers, Mr Ranking. He brushed a finger through his grey brown hair. 'Well maybe an investigation would be in order, Asher, but don't stalk him. ' I laughed. 'Stalk my best friend, Sir! '
'Well you know what I mean, Asher Coldstream, anyway pop by soon. ' he smiled as I moved to the right wing of the stage. The lights dimmed and people came on to collect the desk, for yet another scene change.Ash was on, on his own, one of his only solo scenes. It was Casper's training scene, so all he had to do was pull the trigger on multiple (they were fake) guns. Also he was aiming at targets, so that made it harder. He had to fake failing a few times, also Ash himself had perfect aim. He was a pro acher after all.
The next scene included most of the teachers talking about Casper/Ash's absence from the collage. I ran on. 'His absence is because he's working for a secret organization!' They'd set Asher/me to spy on him. 'Really? ' said Mr Ranking. 'Yes really Mr Ajar. ' I was breathless, partly because the script said I should be and from running round the back of the stage. I produced a piece of paper that confirmed Casper's Job. They looked at it in awe. The scene began to change as they did so.
The scene changed to a party. The table brilliantly set, the lights switching colours between pink, red, blue and purple. This was the school dance scene, one of the scenes in which Ash and I were meant to kiss. The scene was quite long. About seven minutes. Our kiss for about one.
'Well if that's not. ' Jade walked on with Ash, cutting his sentence off. 'Well just be careful ok. We don't want any mishap. ' he rolled his eyes and signed. 'Yes mum. ' I approached them. 'Well I'll leave you here. ' Jade said looking between me and Ash. She then left the stage, leaving us alone. 'Well this looks pretty much set up for later. '
'Yup, the others worked hard. '
'Yeah I was just chatting to the lads before my mum came and said let's go' He looked at me weirdly.
'Ah right' I nodded as the ensemble came stage. The brighter lights faded, now the party lights completely covered the stage. The ensemble started to dance around us then branched off into the wings. The lights changed as we drew closer, pink and blue they were now. My head span as Ash put his lips to mine, pushing me against the back of the stage. Then the lights faded as our lips parted. The first half was finished.
