She hadn't quite figured out what had possessed her to want to kiss her Boss, never mind actually doing it. Sure, it was most likely just an act of gratitude towards her Boss, but Queen Dice could have easily showed her appreciation without the kiss.
What she really never expected was how the Devil would react. Dice thought she'd have at the very least a stern talking to and at the very worst a special place in Hell for eternity. But she didn't get either.

Instead, her Boss almost seemed kinder and not as distant as she was. Though there was still quite a distance between them, there was a hint of an understanding there.

Though Queen Dice knew she wanted more than what she had. More than just a mutual understanding or a friendship between two coworkers. She really should've known better; this was the Devil. Not just any other Boss or some random person, it was Lucifer. Sure Dice was terrified of her, and she knew that the Devil only saw their relationship as a just another transaction. Just a contract. But the flutter in Dice's chest told her otherwise.

Coming by her Boss' office, she knocked on the door, patiently waiting for permission to enter.

"Come in." The Devil said through the door.

"Hey, hey, hey, Boss!" Queen Dice opened the door.

"Dice, Darling!" The Queen of Hell smiled, placing her cup of tea on the metal tray Henchwoman was holding. "You're excused, Henchwoman."

"Gotcha, Boss." The purple imp left the room as Dice closed the door.

"Boss, I've got this great idea; so you know how you were talking about wanting to bring in more souls a few months ago?" Queen Dice asked.

The demon blinked.

"You... Actually remembered...?"

"I haven't stopped thinking about it, I wanna help you out any way I can... Even if your obsession with collecting souls is a bit... Different... I respect you."

"Wh— What was your idea then, Dice?"

"So... Instead of two game shows... I was thinking; what does everybody love?"

"Uhm... Money...?" The Devil furrowed her eyebrows.

"Besides money."

"Uh... Food...?"

"No~"

"Dice, enough with the questionnaire! Just tell me!" The Devil seemed to start losing her temper, Dice being well aware that it was time to stop teasing.

"Everyone loves a little fun and adventure! And where's the best place to find that?" Queen Dice asked.

"Dice."

"Right, right, sorry. A carnival! Everyone loves a carnival!" Dice went on.

"I'm not sure I see where you're going with this. How would this help me?" The Devil asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Carnival games, Boss! It can be rather tempting to win something just by playing a simple game. And it'd be great for you if all the games were rigged."

"So if a person wins, they get a prize and if they lose...? I get their soul?" The Devil seemed to be putting the pieces together.

"Bingo! So whaddya think? Good idea? Great idea?"
