The whole classroom was full of chatter about the upcoming school dance. "Spring Fling" proposals were all anyone could talk about as the school's couples asked one another out with flashy poster boards.

"Uruaka... Will you go to the dance with me?"

The class cheered as Midoriya presented his girlfriend with a poster that read "It would make my heart FLOAT if you were my spring fling date!"

She obviously accepted, and everyone clapped like it was the greatest thing in the world. Kirishima slapped the boy on the back in congratulations, glancing over to Bakugo. He silently wished for a cheesy proposal like the one he'd just witnessed, but Bakugo wasn't a huge fan of public affection. The blonde boy was currently wearing a scowl, disapprovingly glaring at the couple.

Kirishima didn't understand why he had such strong feelings about Midoriya. Bakugo had explained his one-sided rivalry before, the freckled boy being a huge source of Bakugo's constant competitive mindset. But it was almost like some kind of infatuation he had with Midoriya, and it made Kirishima feel an odd sense of jealousy. He knew he shouldn't feel envious, because Bakugo was his boyfriend after all. But he just couldn't help it.

At the end of the day, Kirishima lazily packed his bag as the bell rang. As soon as everyone stood up to leave, Bakugo hurried up to the red head's desk, dropping to a knee as he held out a poster that said "You ROCK, n' let's ROLL up to the dance together!" Decorated in lightning bolts and jagged music notes.

Kirishima's eyes widened, almost sparkling in a cartoon-like way. The cheesiness was enough to melt his heart - he couldn't believe how manly Bakugo was. He didn't even wait for his boyfriend to speak before he shouted out his response.

"Yes! Hell yeah, man!" He leaped forward, knocking Bakugo over with his tight embrace.

The class whooped and clapped, and Kirishima smiled as his cheeks flushed pink. Bakugo's face was even redder, his eyes trained to the ground. This was clearly out of his comfort zone, but that just made Kirishima all the more touched that he did this for him.

The red head grabbed the other boy's hands, looking at him softly, but he noticed Bakugo's eyes were looking at something else. At someone else. Midoriya walked up to the pair, a smile on his face.

"Wow Kacchan, I didn't even know you guys were together. Congrats!"

"Yeah, well, we are," Bakugo growled, wrapping his arm tightly around Kirishima, "What's it to you, nerd?"

"Nothing. I just think it's great!"

"Whatever, Kiri and I don't care what you think anyway. C'mon Babe."

"Kiri? Babe?" Kirishima whispered under his breath, confused by the whole situation.

Bakugo held his hand tightly as he led him out of the classroom, walking down the hall with their fingers intertwined. Kirishima was dumbfounded, blinking in confusion as he tried to process the boy's strange behavior. Bakugo wrapped his arm around the red head's shoulders once more, leaning his head onto the other's. Kirishima glanced back to see that Midoriya and Uruaka were right behind them.

Bakugo was normally awkward and uncomfortable with any physical contact and affectionate words in public, and now he was suddenly draped over the boy like a curtain. Kirishima loved the extra affection (to a degree), but he couldn't ignore the pang in his heart that told him it was only this way because of Midoriya's presence.
