The whole quidditch thing was a mess and I could tell that this quest was going to be very hard. I could tell that Harry Potter had his comfort zones. He will not just open up to seven American exchange students. Annabeth will never give up and, even if it's the last thing she ever does, is determined to get close to Harry. Honestly, I'm going to keep a close eye on him, but I don't want to make him feel uncomfortable. ~~Day before~~
Ginny led us up to the guest room, which she claims was magically expanded. I thought it was very cool, since mist was only an illusion. The plump women, who introduced herself as Mrs. Weasley, called them all down for dinner. All us demigods went down a lot stairs, I mean a lot of stairs, and got to this small room with a very long table. Harry sat at the end with Ginny right next to him and Hermione sat across from him. Harry had his head in his hands. Ginny was rubbing his back and I caught a glance at his face. It scared me. His face was contorted in pain. I tugged on Frank's arm and pointed to Harry. Hermione was trying to sooth Harry, but it wasn't working. Harry got up abruptly and told everyone that he was going to get some rest. He flashed a look at Ginny and if I wasn't watching I would have never seen the little discreet nod. She moved over a seat and whispered to Hermione. They both nodded and moved over to sit with all of us.
"So, are you guys excited to go to Diagon Alley tomorrow? It's the best!" Ginny said, obviously trying to direct the conversation away from Harry.
Piper, who could I tell was about to charm speak, said,
"Yeah it sounds really fun!" The charm speak was so thick I had to struggle a little not to be pulled in. Ginny and Hermione looked fine though.
"Hey, what's wrong with Harry?" The charm speak was so much, I didn't know if they could withstand it.
"Oh, he's just tired. We have to keep in shape for quidditch and it was a very long workout today." Ginny explained quickly.
Piper looked very conflicted and I guess Ginny took it for confusion.
"Oh! I'm sorry you guys must not have quidditch! There are seven players. There are three chasers, I'm a chaser. They try to score the goals. Then there are the two beaters who whack these thing called 'bludgers'. Nasty little buggers. Then there is the one keeper who guards the three goalposts. Finally there is the seeker. The seeker tries to find the golden snitch. When they catch it the game is over and the team that catches it gets 150 extra points!! Harry's position is seeker." Ginny explained quidditch and when everyone was done with dinner, she offered to show us the brooms.
We all agreed and she took us outside. I noticed Hermione was not there, but I knew she was with Harry. I saw Annabeth silently slip away and I wanted to tell her not to so bad. Ginny grabbed brooms for herself and us.
"Ok, mount your brooms." Ginny instructed. I got on and then kicked off at Ginny's command. I heard a scream and I saw Ginny fly down and run into the house, wand at the ready.
