I find myself lounging in the family's waiting room at the wedding venue, with Damon. He's here as Blair's plus one, and I can't help but feel a knot of nerves in my stomach. It's the last week of September, and Blair's sister's, Cassandra, wedding is taking place at a beautiful venue with a garden theme.

From the upstairs waiting room where we're lounging, we have a clear view of the venue outside. The room faces the venue garden, allowing us a good view of the decorations and the overall setup. We can see the guests arriving and making their way to their seats, and the garden looks absolutely stunning with all the fairy lights and decorations.

The view from here is truly breathtaking. The tables with their elegant floral centerpieces and delicate candle holders add a touch of glamor and sophistication to the entire setup. The venue looks even more enchanting under the soft glow of the fairy lights. The combination of the cool evening air and the warm glow of the lights creates a romantic atmosphere, making the wedding venue feel truly magical. It's clear that the couple has chosen a night wedding to create a visually stunning and unforgettable experience.

The entire venue is illuminated by the soft glow of the fairy lights, casting a warm and dreamy ambiance over the area. The lighting is just perfect, accentuating the beauty of the setup and creating an aura of romance and enchantment.

As I look around the waiting room, I start to notice some of my cousins among those present. They are chatting among themselves, seemingly excited and eager for the wedding celebrations to begin.

Some of them are fixing their hair and clothes, making sure they look presentable for the celebration. Some laugh and engage in friendly banter with one another, the anticipation of the upcoming wedding adding a lively energy to the room.

Damon, noticing that I'm observing the room, turns to me and speaks up. "You've got quite the turnout of family here, huh?" he says, his tone casual but with a hint of amusement.

I chuckle at his words, a small grin forming on my lips. "Yeah," I reply. "It's a family wedding, so it's a pretty big deal. Plus, it's a good excuse for everyone to get together and catch up."

Damon nods in agreement, a small smile playing at the corners of his mouth. "I guess family is important to y'all," he comments, his tone thoughtful. "I can see why. It's nice to have that sense of connection and support."

I nod in agreement, feeling a small swell of pride in my chest. "Yeah, family is a big part of our culture," I say. "We're pretty tight-knit and always make sure to come out for each other's important occasions. It's just the way we are."

"That's pretty cool," Damon says, sounding genuinely impressed. "I don't have much of a family, so it's cool to see how tight everyone is. It's kind of sweet." He gives me a knowing smirk, adding, "So, your 'snowflake' is here too, huh?"

I roll my eyes slightly, recognizing the hint of teasing in his question. "She's here, yeah," I reply, trying to sound casual despite the way my heart skips a beat at the mention of her.
