As I sat in our dorm room with Blair, we were in the midst of getting ready for Aaron's mother's charity event. I looked at myself in the mirror, making sure that I looked presentable. My hair was curled and styled, and I was carefully applying my makeup. Blair, as always, was the picture of elegance, her own flawless makeup accentuating her natural beauty.

I had decided to wear a simple blouse and jeans, keeping my outfit casual yet chic. It was a comfortable choice, and I knew it would be easy to move around in during the event. I ran my hands over the fabric, checking to make sure everything looked okay. Satisfied, I turned to Blair, who was still fussing with her own outfit.

Blair, like me, was opting for a relaxed look, and had chosen a slight similar outfit. She wore a soft sweater with a scoop neckline, paired with a pair of dark-washed jeans. Her hair was pulled up in a messy bun, with tendrils falling artfully around her face. She gave me a small smile, our choices in clothing reflecting our desire for comfort and ease at the event.

As I went through the motions of putting things in my bag, my thoughts drifted back to Aaron. Specifically, to the day he lent me his jacket when I was soaked from the rain after my breakup with Loren. The memory brought a small smile to my lips, and I looked over at the jacket, which was hung neatly on the back of a chair.

But, it wasn't there.

My eyes widened in horror as I spied the jacket on the floor, chewed on by Cookie, the brown lop male bunny. Cookie, in a mischievous mood, had turned the jacket into his chew toy. Worse still, he had peed on it, dousing the fabric with urine.

"Cookie!" I quickly crossed the room and snatched the jacket away from Cookie, scolding him gently for his behavior. The jacket was now stained and ruined, the once-pristine fabric now sporting chew marks and a faint, unpleasant odor from the bunny's accident.

Blair looked up from her own preparations and wrinkled her nose at the sight of the ruined garment.

"Looks like Cookie had a little accident," she commented with a smirk. "Aaron's jacket won't be quite the same anymore."

I groaned in frustration, wondering how on earth I was going to explain this to Aaron. He had been kind enough to lend me the jacket, and now it was ruined. I shook my head, mentally scolding myself for leaving it within reach of Cookie and his destructive tendencies.

I turned the jacket over in my hands, examining the damage. The fabric was definitely ruined, and the smell of bunny urine clung to it stubbornly. There was no way I could return it in this condition – Aaron would undoubtedly be upset. Of course he is, it's his jacket that ruined. Ughh, I was going to have to come up with a plan to compensate him for the ruined jacket.

I heaved a deep sigh, knowing I would have to go shopping soon to replace the ruined jacket. I scanned my closet, my gaze landing on my Calvin Klein jacket – a potential replacement. But I knew it wouldn't be quite the same as the one Aaron lent me. I couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt for damaging his property.
