Mia returns

2 weeks later on a Saturday morning, Char woke up to the sound of banging on her door.

"Hm... what's that?" Char said still half asleep.

She headed downstairs to see what the noise was. She opened the door and didn't see anyone, just the midnight sky. However, when she was about to the door she saw a letter on the floor.

She bent down to pick it up, well, it was addressed to her it wasn't like it was a mix up in the mail. She was confused, who would give her a letter? Unless it was a get well card from the staff. She picked it up and placed it on her counter top, she decided she'd read it in the morning and she went back to bed.

In the morning, Char stretched out of bed forgetting about the letter. She threw on her slippers and headed downstairs, she was starving. Then she realised, she needed to read the letter but.. there was no letter on her counter top.

She was surprised, how could it vanish? Wait, could one of her kids have moved it? She went to her kids room.

"Morning Daisy and Ella! Did you happen to move a note for mommy?" Charlotte questioned

"I saw one on the counter I put it on your bedroom table!" Daisy said.

"Oh, thank you honey." Charlotte replied.

She certainly hadn't seen a letter on her bedroom table. She might of missed it. Charlotte went upstairs to look for it.

"Oh, it is there."

Char picked it up and opened it carefully.

"Dear Char,

I don't know why I left, I was stupid, I believed Roger again. He told me if I left you he would find my dad. Rage build over me, I haven't seen my dad for ages, how could he leave me? I needed to know so I left.

I'm returning back in a couple of days, I love you so much my sweetheart. I hope you and your beautiful daughters are doing well. How are they? I bet they are doing amazing especially because they have a mum like you.

I'm returning home with a batch of black roses just for you, you have a special place in my heart. Don't miss me too much.

Charlotte was stunned. Excitement built over her, but so did rage. How could Mia believe Roger again so easily? But she erased that from her mind so quickly, she could only focus on her sweetheart coming back.

She went into the living room to see her kids playing on the couch with their toys.

"Girls, I have a suprise for you." Charlotte said eagerly.

"Ooo! What?" Both her daughters questioned.

"You know the red head that mommy loves?"

"Of course! How could we forget" they laughed.

"She's coming back!"

Both her daughters squealed in excitement.

On monday, Char woke up and got dressed. She left her bedroom and got her daughters ready. After breakfast, they headed out the door. Charlotte buckled her kids into the back seat and hopped in her car. She dropped them off at their nursery and returned to work.

"Ah! How are you my love? We've missed you." Marjorie said excitedly.

"I'm amazing! I have something to tell you though.." Char replied

"Oh, go on." She said.

"So, Mia's returning but the only reason she left is Roger made her believe she could see her dad again if she left me."

"Oh.. well, i'm happy for you!"

"Thank you, Marjorie." Char smiled.

"Well! Off to the toddler room you go." Marjorie said laughing.

"Cya!" Char said.

After work, she went to pick up Daisy and Ella and drop them off at their dads.

Char returned home and opened her door.

"Suprise!" Mia yelled.

Char couldn't believe it. But how could have she returned home? She didn't see Mia's car. Charlotte couldn't even respond, she was too excited.

She ran up to Mia and gave her a long hug. Mia hugged her back. They both started crying, they missed eachother so much.

"I've missed you so much." Charlotte said crying.

"Me too sweetheart."

"But how did you come here? I didn't see your car."

"I parked high up so you didn't see my car" Mia said laughing.

"You're so silly." Char said giggling.

"How does a candle lit dinner sound?" Mia said.

"Amazing."

They both laughed and Char sat on the sofa while Mia headed upstairs to unpack.

"Finished!" Mia shouted from up the stairs.

Charlotte went upstairs to see Mia lying on the bed.

"You wanna catch up?" Mia said.

"Of course." Charlotte replied

Char jumped into the bed and they talked all night holding hands.
