Delilah's POV..

"What the fuck dude! You just totally cut me off!" Calum yelled at Ashton who 'cut him off' as they played Mario Kart. I chuckled at their immaturity and continuted to record the pair. They bickered for another five minutes until I heard a loud crash and a 'fucking hell' come from the kitchen. The two boys playing the Wii weren't phased by it, but curiosity got the best of me.
I locked my phone and set it on the couch before getting up to go investigate. Once I saw the state that Bryn, Luke, and Mike was in, it was hard not to laugh. Michael had somehow gotten flour in his hair to make the once vibrant red colour appear a light pink shade. Bryn had eggs in her hair while Luke stood there with a guilty look on his face. Assuming that I would go ballistic, Luke chuckled uneasily at my response to all of this.

"How the hell did this happen?" I asked, pausing my laughing fit for a second to talk.
"Luke tried getting the flour down from the cab above where Mike was standing but he wasnt quite tall enough and it toppled over and spilled everywere," Bryn confessed. That explained why Michael was covered in what looked like powder cocaine, but it still didnt explain why she had eggs in her hair.
"And how exactly did you get eggs in your hair?" I questioned.
"Michael didnt like that Bryn was laughing at him so he threw eggs at her," Luke confessed. I stared at the trio for a second before busting into another laughing fit. I heard Michael groan from where he was standing and stomped upstairs to wash the powder out of his hair. Bryn stayed downstairs but used the kitchen faucet to wash off the eggs.
"Luke, will you please clean up the floor before Calum wanders in here and has a stroke from the mess," I pleaded. Luke chuckled and nodded, going to get towels. I returned to my spot on the couch behind Ashton who was sat on the floor.
"Who's winning?" I asked the boys.
"Ashton is because he's a filthy cheater!" Calum whined and tried pressing the buttons on the controller harder like it would be an advantage to him. Since hos strategy wasnt working, Calum groaned loudly and threw the controller behind his head and stormed out of the living room. I was giggling like a little school girl behind Ashton who was still concentrated on the game he was winning.
"What the hell!" Calum yelled and I knew what he was yelling at now. At least I thought I did. "Where the fuck did my fruit snacks go?"

I walked up the sidewalk to the school, not exactly ready for the second day of senior year. It was already off to a bad start. I woke up 25 minutes late because I stayed over at Cal's until late last night. Then, my mom left me a note saying she needed to go off on a business trip. Lastly, my car wouldnt start and the only reason why I had to drive today was because I was too late for Calum to pick me up.

"Hey De- woah," Ashton said to me as I was getting closer. I could understand why Ashton would question my heath today because im not exactly 'dressed to impress' today. I put on sweatpants and a black v neck from Hollister. I put my hair up in a messy bun with no makeup on. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah. Woke up late s'all," I replied. Ashton nodded understandingly and followed me into the school. Almost everyone was in their first class except for a few stragglers that were rushing anyway.
Ashton and I have the same first period on blue days which are tuesdays and thursdays. Blue days consist of 5th, 6th, and 7th period. Seniors get to leave at 1:30 after 7th period, because we're the only class in the school coorporation that only has 7 periods in all.
Ashton and I made our way to geometry after I collected my books from my locker. We took a seat at the very back of the class, my personal favorite place to sit in a classroom, and put all of our attention to our phones until the final bell rang.

It is now choir and im conversating with Ashton about the school round-up this friday. We have a round-up the first friday of ever school year and the choir classes have to sing. I always hated the round-up because of my stage fright and my lack of singing skills. My sophomore year I nearly puked before the round-up because of my stage freight. I wasnt even singing a solo.

"All I have to say, is that if I dont get a solo this year, im suing the school coorporation," Ashton confessed. I giggled and shook my head.

"Im not even sure how you actually want a solo. Remember sophomore year?" I asked and almost cringed at the memory.

"Yeah! Like it was yesterday. You scared me because I thought you werre going to hyperventilate and die," Ashton laughed. I shuddered and turned my attention to Mr. Frey, the choir teacher, when he walked up to the board.
"Good afternoon class!" he said loudly. Everyone answered with a small 'hello' or a 'good afternoon' and Mr. Frey started writing on the board. He explained to us when we would be singing on Friday and what we would be singing as a group. The girls would be singing 100 Years by Jordin Sparks. The boys were assigned to Missing You by All Time Low. As everyone discusses the songs they were given, Mr. Frey was quietly picking people for the solos. He kept glancing over at me and Ashton which just made me fidgety and my hands sweat. As soon as the two were picked, Mr. Frey started writing them on the board.

Solo's:
Steven Andrews
Samantha Howard

I let out a breath I didnt know I was holding and looked over at Ashton who looked dissapointed. I gave him an awkward side hug and said it would be okay.

"But thats not it folks!" Mr. Frey announced and my heart dropped to my stomach again. "We're having our first ever duet this year!" I groaned and glanced over to Ashton again. He looked less dissapointed but there was still that hurt look on his face. I felt so bad for the guy, I knew how much he wanted that.

"Ashton Irwin will you please come up here," Mr. Frey asked and Ashton jumped up and skipped to the front of the room. Mr. Frey whispered something in his ear and a giant smile spread across Ashtons face. All while looking at me. Everyone in the class knew what that meant. And sure enough, I was called to the front shortly after and was told I was doing a duet with my best friend.
