Calista and Omega were leaning against Gonky watching something on Omega's data pad. Hunter walked up to them, letting out a small laugh. "Well, that doesn't look comfortable, for either of you."
They looked up at Hunter smiling at him. "We're fine." They said at the same time.
Hunter threw them both a ration bar. Calista did never like the taste of them, but after years of being on the battlefield she got used to it. "Here. Chow time."
Wrecker came up behind Calista and Omega. Which caused Calista to flinch. "Ah, Finally!"
Wrecker jumped next to Hunter taking his ration bar and eating it in one bite. "Hit me again."
Hunter gave him a look of disapproval before closing the lid to the rations. "Well, that's all for now. Rations are low."
Wrecker groans. Calista looked at her ration bar before putting it in Wrecker's hand. "Here. Have mine. I'm not that hungry anyway."
Wrecker was going to eat the bar. Hunter pushed him away. Talking in a low tone. "Hey, Omega and Calista don't even have a place to sleep. You wanna take their food too?"
Wrecker looked over Hunter's shoulder at Omega and Calista. He walked over and handed Calista here bar back. "No, no, thanks. You can keep it."
Calista shrugged. "Okay."
She handed her bar to Omega without Hunter knowing. As Omega and Calista sat down in their previous position. Wrecker kept talking to Hunter . "I guess I'm not used to having kids around here."
Hunter shrugged. "Well, none of us are, but they're not complaining."
Calista watched as the lights cut out. Hunter looked up at them. Before looking towards Echo. "Echo, lights cut out again. I thought you fixed it."
Echo was next to the pilots chair already working on another project Hunter had given him. "Yeah, add it to the list."
Calista laughed covering her mouth before Hunter gave her a glare. Echo stood next to Tech who was piloting the ship. Before taking a seat in the co-pilots chair. "The ship got hit hard when we fled Saleucami. Several systems have been glitching ever since. Repairs would go faster if I had some help."
It was obvious Echo was taking a dig at Tech who was working on a project of his own. "As soon as I finish building this scanner. Testing the functionality of our inhibitor chips takes precedence."
Calista walked to the cockpit. Sitting behind Echo and Tech. One because she felt more comfortable, and two she was snooping on their conversation. Echo looked at Tech again. Slowly turning his head. "But I thought you said they were defective."
Tech didn't give Echo a glance just continued to work on his project. "A theory this device will be able to prove. Besides, the ship-wide diagnostic report indicated no critical systems were compromised."
Suddenly Calista jolted from her seat landing head first into the seat in front of her. "Ah fuck!"
She got up from her spot and stood next to Hunter. "No critical systems were compromised my ass!"
Hunter jolted forward slightly. "Getting thrown out of hyperspace. I'd say that's pretty critical, Tech."
Tech, as calm as ever continued pressing buttons trying to get the system back online. "It's not affecting life support. We're fine."
