It was about few days after the Kazekage Rescue Mission, at the secret ANBU underground mission. Matsuri was called by a female red-haired ANBU Captain named Mio Uzumaki (21) from an underground ANBU branch called the Dark Hurricane, which was founded by her 8 years ago. Even though Matsuri joined the Dark Hurricane at the age of 8.
"There is a special assignment that I assigned it to you, Matsuri." Mio Uzumaki said.
"What is it?" Matsuri Uchiha asked.
"Team Seven needed another additional members since Kakashi Hatake will be out recovering injuries." Mio Uzumaki said. "They already have Yamato, as Kakashi's replacement, then there's Sai of the Foundation. I also tasked you to keep an eye on Sai, I don't know what Lord Danzo came to his mind by placing one of their members to Team Seven."
"Is this the man that always setting a plot to overthrow the 3rd Hokage?" Matsuri Uchiha asked.
"Yes it is." Mio Uzumaki said. "That's the reason why I will assigned you to Team Seven as your special assignment, just to ensure that you need to keep an eye on Sai."
"Yes Captain." Matsuri Uchiha said.
The next day, Naruto and Sakura were meeting at the place which Tsunade the 5th Hokage told them to go.
"We're supposed to be meeting here." Naruto Uzumaki said.
"I wonder what is the team assembling here is all about." Sakura Haruno said, puzzled.
Then, Sai showed up.
"Nice to meet you two." Sai said.
"You!!! You're the one who attacked me earlier at the rooftop of the village gates earlier!" Naruto Uzumaki said.
Then, Yamato showed up.
"That's enough, you three are now teammates." Yamato said.
"Who are you?" Sakura Haruno asked.
"My name is Yamato, I will be taking over as substitute captain while Kakashi is absent, recovering his injuries in the hospital." Yamato said.
"So that means we will call you Captain Yamato." Sakura Haruno said.
Then, Matsuri Uchiha showed up.
"Don't forget me as another member of Team Seven." Matsuri Uchiha said.
Naruto deadpanned.
"That pink-haired girl looked like Sakura's twin." Naruto Uzumaki said.
Sakura deadpanned.
"Maybe." Sakura Haruno said. 😶💧
"My name is Matsuri." Matsuri Uchiha said. "Nice to meet you all."
"I'm Naruto." Naruto Uzumaki said.
"I'm Sakura Haruno." Sakura Haruno said.
"Well, nice to meet you two." Matsuri Uchiha said. "Anyway, we wanted to test our teamwork while we are getting ready for our upcoming mission for Team Seven."
Yamato looked at each of them with a stern look.
"Very well, your objective is to catch the flag from the center of this training ground. Understood?"
He said as he pointed to the middle of the area.
"There will be no limit to your jutsus. Use whatever means necessary to achieve your goal. I'll be watching as you fight with all your might and skills."
He waited for a response from his new team.
No response from Sakura and Naruto.
"Stop being muted and pay attention, you two." Matsuri Uchiha said.
