Maddie's POV
*it's been a few days since our big case has been over and we all have felt a bit more relaxed knowing that it's done and over with! I'm currently in the break room pouring myself a cup of coffee when Erin walks in*
Erin:how you doing mads? *she says while having a sympathetic look on her face*
Mads:pretty good why?
Erin:you've been quiet these past few days that's all and usually when your quiet it means something is bothering you!
Mads:well there's some more personal things going on but nothing that's going to affect my work ability!
Erin:what's up? You can tell me anything Mads! Us girls have to stick together in a unit with mostly guys!
Mads:just some family drama that's all nothing really exciting!
Erin:oh well if you need to talk I'm here for you! Remember that! *smiles*
*so that was a lie! The thing that's really going on is my ex Nolan has been contacting me non stop saying that he loves me and that he wants me again! I've told him numerous of times to stop and that I'm over him and us but he refuses to believe me! But I couldn't tell Erin that because then she would tell sarge and it would turn into a big scandal that I don't wanna have! Once I was done pouring my coffee I headed back out to my desk and looked over the files that sarge handed me to see if anything stuck out when my desk phone rang*
Mads:detective baker speaking! *I say confused on the random phone call*
Trudy:Mads it's Trudy there's someone down here wanting to see you seems pretty desperate!
Mads:*sighs* I'm on my way down!
*I hang up the phone and grab my coffee cup and I head down over the stairs to the district and see the one man I do not want to see Nolan Jacobs*
Nolan:hey pretty thing!
Mads:what have I told you Nolan?!
Nolan:I came to see my pretty girl what's wrong with that?
*I look around and see that it's pretty crowded down here so I bring Nolan into the office to speak*
Mads: I'm over this Nolan! I'm over you! *I say angry* stop trying to keep in contact with me when your the one who ruined it in the first place!
Nolan:I know and I'm sorry! But I have the itch for you again! I need you mads! *he say's basically pleading!*
Mads:a itch?! Are you serious right now?! You need to leave Nolan this isn't the place for this conversation!
Nolan:oh come on don't leave me hanging mads!
Mads:I said you need to leave Nolan! *I say clearly pissed off*
Nolan:fine but this isn't over! *he says as he walks out the door*
*I let out a sigh before heading upstairs and I go over to my desk and then I see Erin come up the starts and she sits on the end of my desk looking at me*
Erin:so what was that all about?
Mads:what was what?
Erin:that argument you just had with some Nolan guy? *starts to relize what she said* omg was that Nolan jacobs?!
Mads:seems like you already know what I'm going to say *I say with a sigh*
Erin:what is he doing back? I thought he ran off somewhere?!
Mads:so did I until a few days ago when he got my number and started texting and calling me non stop!
Erin:why didn't you tell me? We could have helped you Mads!
Mads:because I don't want this to be a big deal I'm handling it
Erin:well if it gets to a point when you clearly can't handle it than I'm stepping in understand?
Mads:loud and clear! *smiles*
Erin:your not alone Mads!
Mads:I know! *smiles*
*then Hank comes out of his office*
Sarge:we got something! *he says while pinning up a picture on the board*
Mads:what do we got? *she says while sitting down on the edge of her desk*
Hank:Martin Dias "Marty" dealer on the west side patrol reported his body about 45 mins ago near the ocean
Antonio:drug deal gone wrong?
Hank:anything is possible suit up and let's go check it out
*we all headed out to our vehicles and drive to the location*
Jay:so are you down for drinks tonight?
Mads:I'm always down for drinks! *laughs* what time?
Jay:8 at Molly's?
Mads:sounds good! *smiles*
*we were the first ones on the scene so we got out and headed over to the body and the patrol officers*
Patrol:detectives! Thanks for coming so quickly!
Jay:just doing our jobs! What's do we got?
Patrol:well we found him about an hour ago he's in pretty bad shape it's probably better if you looked at him yourself!
Mads:thank you! *smiles*
*we head over to the body and we take off the body bag and see many stab wounds and 2 gun shot wounds*
Jay:damn he is pretty beat up!
Mads:yeah how can you even get a identification on him you can barely see his face!
Jay:he has a Id *he says while pointing to the ground*
*then the rest of the team come over*
Antonio:geez how bad did he mess up!
Mads:idk but clearly something happened behind the scenes!
Hank:okay here's what we are going to do! I'm going to call in my friends from major crimes and see if they want to take a case
Antonio:wait your going to give up the case?
Hank:I just got a call on the way here that I need to deal with and he is in pretty bad shape
Erin:I'm still confused about the fact that you have friends?!
Mads:*laughs*
Hank:Now go home! *takes out his phone and walks away*
Jay:how about we have drinks at 6? Seeing that's it's now 4?
Mads:sounds good!
*we get back in the truck and jay drops me off at the district and I get in my car and i drive back to my apartment*
