District Seven Female - Mare Fletcher

Name: Mare Fletcher

Physical Description: Mare is relatively short standing at a not so staggering 5'3. She has long dirty blonde hair, and extremely pale skin. She has a small nose and large lips. Her most notable feature where her eye's, which are very, very wide and the most striking shade of blue that you have ever seen. She has a curves but she is still very thin.

Personality: Mare has always been a bit of a contradiction. She was sweet yet sassy, kind yet rude, happy and sad all at the same time. Really the version of Mare Fletcher that you get depends more on you than her. She is witty, and extremely smart both street smart and book smart. She herself never really understood how a person could be so many things at once, though she supposed that the many sides of her personality came about out of necessity to blend in, in a world where she often stuck out.

Backstory: Mare, for the majority of her life has lived in the orphanage. Her mother died in childbirth and her father died several years later in a lodging accident. In the orphanage Mare had to learn to take care of herself very early on in life, and she did. This is where she developed all the different aspects of her personality; she had to be tough around the older kids or they would eat her alive for the fun of it, she had to be kind and likeable around the care taker's or they would be cruel and refuse to feed her as they often did to the "bad" children, she had to be smart in the classroom so that she may one day get a job other than a lumberjack so that she wouldn't spend her life in poverty, and she had to also be smart on the streets so that no one hurt her or take advantage of her because she was naive. She learned how to be many things and how to flip around between these things at the drop of a dime so that she would survive. Because of her ability to flip flop her personality, she is very "popular" in her district, though most of the people who think of Mare as a friend, Mare only thinks of as acquaintances. Her only real friend is an older girl who used to be at the orphanage, her name is Amanda and the two of them have been very close since they were children. Amanda has always watched out for Mare; Amanda even taught Mare how to use an axe and knives along with some other basic survival skills so that if Mare was ever to go into the games then she might actually stand a chance. Mare considers Amanda to be her sister, even though the girls are not biologically related.

Power wished for: She would like to be able to control/ create lightning. She has loved watching it since she was a small child, and when there were storms the other children at the orphanage would hide but Mare would run to the window and watch.

Allies: She is open to them but she needs to be able to trust the people she is working with.
