𝐀𝐅𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐆𝐄𝐓𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 Kennedy down for bed, and by that she meant leaving Blake to put the three-month-old to bed with him, Meredith took that as her chance to step outside and FaceTime her boyfriend.
Shortly after clicking on Austin's contact and hitting the FaceTime button, he answered with a soft smile on his lips at the sight of his girlfriend.
"Where's Kennedy?" Were the first words to leave his mouth as he notices the lack of a baby attached to her arms like usual.
"Blake is putting her to sleep. She was getting fussy, and he volunteered so I could call and talk to you." She brought her knees up to her chest, resting her chin on the top.
"Still at your moms?" He raised an eyebrow, noticing the familiar porch rather than their living room which had a big picture of a newborn Kennedy with both parents behind the couch on the wall.
"Yeah, we figured it was the best place to stay at before Blake and Eleanore head to Vancouver for their shows." Meredith tells her, picking at a loose thread on the ripped jeans she was still wearing. "Are you with Drew at you apartment?"
"We're at Chase and Rudy's apartment. Decided to watch movies for a couple of hours." He tells her just as Drew runs into frame, falling onto his lap.
"Meredith!"
"Drew!"
"Is that your girlfriend?!" Two girls run into frame, peering over Austin's shoulder from behind the couch he was sitting on.
"Mer, this is Madison and Madelyn." Austin points to each one of his female castmates, "This is Meredith."
"Hi, Meredith. Nice to meet you." Madelyn waves with a smile, "We didn't even know you existed! Or your baby!"
Meredith lets out a laugh, "Yeah, we've learned how to keep it out of the spotlight over the years, especially during my pregnancy and after she was born. Which is hard when your parents are who they are and a camera crew following you around all the time."
"I wanna meet Rachel's daughter!"
Meredith raised an eyebrow as three other guys squeezed together so they could be seen, "Hi."
"Hey, I'm Rudy." The blonde boy smiles widely, "I think your mom is hot."
She lets out a laugh, "I'll be sure to mention that."
"This is Chase and Jonathan." Austin points to the other two.
"You can just call me JD." Jonathan smiled.
"I should let you guys go so that you can get back to your movie night." Meredith tells them, glancing into the house behind her as one of the lights cut on.
"You don't have to." Chase shook his head, "We were fighting over which movie to watch first, Mighty Duck or Monsters Inc."
"Yeah, we can just stay-,"
Madelyn was cut off as the sound of baby cries rang out through the monitor.
"I better get to Kennedy before Blake does, and decides he's gonna sleep in her room." Meredith chuckled as she stood up. "It was nice to meet you guys."
"Nice meeting you, too!"
"Kiss Kennedy goodnight for me." Austin tells his girlfriend with a soft smile.
