Jisoo barely waited for Seokmin’s offer to fully settle in his mind before agreeing.

The thought of staying with Jeonghan, feeling trapped in the place where he suspected his own brother was behind the tormenting messages, felt unbearable.

He needed distance, he needed safety—and if that meant moving in with Seokmin, then he was more than ready.

Seokmin's house, while simple, was large enough for comfort, with each corner meticulously organized.

The living room, illuminated by soft, warm lighting, had an inviting atmosphere that made Jisoo feel strangely at ease, something he hadn’t felt in days.

As he stepped inside, Seokmin turned to him with an encouraging smile. “Make yourself at home, Jisoo. You can take the guest room for as long as you need.”

Jisoo looked around, taking in the calmness of Seokmin’s space. It was different from his own home, where he constantly felt eyes on him, like he was in the center of some twisted game. Here, it was quiet, almost too quiet, but that felt like a relief. He dropped his bag and looked at Seokmin with genuine appreciation. “Thank you… really. I didn’t know where else to go.”

Seokmin’s face softened, as he took in the exhaustion etched across Jisoo’s features. “Of course. I’m here for you,” he said, his voice low and soothing. “I know it’s been rough, and I’m just… glad you trusted me enough to come here.”

Jisoo offered a faint, weary smile, though his eyes betrayed the exhaustion and fear that had been building inside him. “I don’t know what’s real anymore, Seokmin,” he admitted, his voice cracking slightly. “I feel like I’m losing my mind. Every time I turn around, it feels like someone’s there, watching me… even when I’m alone.” He rubbed his arms, as if trying to shake off an invisible grip.

Seokmin guided him to the couch and sat beside him, keeping a reassuring presence but giving Jisoo space. “Listen, Jisoo. Whatever’s happening, you’re not alone. We’re in this together now. I’m just one wall away, and we’re right next to the police station, so you’re as safe as it gets.”

Jisoo nodded, clutching the edge of the couch, feeling a sense of stability finally seep in. “I just… I want to be safe, Seokmin. I don’t know how things got this bad, but… thank you. I don’t think I could handle it on my own.”

Seokmin’s voice was steady, a comforting constant. “You don’t have to. You’re not alone, Jisoo. We’ll figure this out, one step at a time. And if there’s anything that feels off, anything you need, just let me know, okay?”

Jisoo nodded, letting Seokmin’s words calm him, at least for now. In this unfamiliar yet safe environment, he could finally take a breath, as if for the first time in weeks.
