Over the next few days, the sense of being watched crept into Jisoo's daily routine. Little things started to feel... off.

Whenever he would move around the house, he felt a shadow trailing him, a warm gaze lingering on him.

Even in moments when Seokmin wasn’t there, Jisoo felt as if he was never really alone. He would brush off the feeling, but every so often, his patience wore thin.

One morning, while he was in the kitchen making breakfast, he felt that familiar prickle on the back of his neck.

He turned around, only to find Seokmin leaning against the doorway, watching him with a soft, almost dreamy smile.

“Seokmin! You scared me,” Jisoo said, trying to laugh it off as he placed a hand on his chest to calm his racing heart.

Seokmin chuckled, looking a bit sheepish but not moving. “Sorry,” he replied, his voice low and warm. “I just… like seeing you like this. You look so peaceful.”

Jisoo forced a smile, stirring his coffee. “You’re always looking, though,” he teased lightly, trying to keep things casual. “Aren’t you afraid I’ll think you’re, you know, a bit… obsessed?”

Seokmin’s smile faltered for a fraction of a second, his eyes darkening just a bit before he recovered. “Is it wrong to want to remember every little thing?” he asked softly, stepping closer. “I don’t want to miss any part of you, Jisoo. You’re… important to me.”

Jisoo felt his cheeks heat up at the sincerity in Seokmin’s voice. There was something so raw, almost desperate, in those words. “You don’t have to watch every second, you know,” he said, trying to laugh it off but feeling a chill run down his spine. “I’m not going anywhere.”

Seokmin’s gaze softened, his fingers reaching out to brush lightly over Jisoo’s hand. “I know… but it doesn’t hurt to be careful.”

Later that week, Jisoo decided to for a movie night. He hoped that maybe if they spent more time together openly, the strange tension he felt would dissipate.

They settled onto the couch, sharing a blanket, and as the movie started, Jisoo tried to focus, hoping to lose himself in the plot.

But halfway through, he felt Seokmin’s gaze on him again. He tried to ignore it, hoping Seokmin would eventually turn back to the screen, but the intensity of it made him shift uncomfortably.

“Is something on my face?” Jisoo asked, feigning a light tone as he glanced over at Seokmin.

Seokmin’s cheeks flushed, but he didn’t look away. “No… I just like looking at you,” he murmured, his voice barely above a whisper. “You’re… beautiful, Jisoo.”

Jisoo swallowed, his heart thudding as he felt both flattered and uneasy. “You’re so cheesy,” he tried to joke, nudging Seokmin lightly. “Watch the movie, silly.”

But even as he said it, he couldn’t ignore the weight of Seokmin’s gaze. It wasn’t just admiration; there was something possessive in those eyes, something that made Jisoo’s skin tingle with a strange mixture of excitement and fear.

One night, Jisoo was lying in bed, reading a book, when he felt the familiar sensation of eyes on him. He looked up to find Seokmin standing in the doorway, just watching him in the dim light of the bedroom lamp.

“Seokmin?” Jisoo asked, feeling a strange nervousness curl in his stomach. “Are you okay?”

Seokmin blinked, as if coming out of a trance. “Oh… yeah. Sorry, I just… I couldn’t sleep. Seeing you there… it’s calming.”

Jisoo set his book down, patting the bed beside him. “Come here then,” he offered, trying to lighten the mood. “If I’m your lucky charm for good sleep, then you might as well join me.”

Seokmin’s eyes lit up, and he quickly slipped into bed beside Jisoo. As they lay there, Jisoo felt Seokmin’s hand gently graze his, their fingers almost brushing. The warmth of Seokmin’s presence was comforting, but there was still that lingering unease.

“Jisoo…” Seokmin’s voice was soft, barely audible in the quiet room. “Do you ever… think about what it’d be like if we were always together?”

Jisoo turned to look at him, a small smile tugging at his lips. “Seokmin, we already spend so much time together. How much more ‘together’ can we be?”

Seokmin’s lips curved into a soft smile, but his eyes held a deeper, almost pleading look. “No… I mean really together. Like… never apart. Every second. Like this.”

Jisoo felt his heart skip, and he chuckled nervously. “Well, that’s a bit intense, don’t you think?”

Seokmin didn’t laugh, his expression serious. “Maybe… but it’s just how I feel.”

The words hung heavily in the air, and Jisoo tried to keep his smile, but he couldn’t shake the weight of Seokmin’s gaze.
