One year later

Jin stirred awake to the soft light filtering through the sheer curtains of his London flat. He stretched lazily, feeling the coolness of the morning air. His apartment was a charming blend of modernity and classic London architecture. The exposed brick walls added a rustic touch, while the sleek, minimalist furniture reflected his refined taste.

He swung his legs over the side of the bed, his feet touching the warm, polished wooden floor. Jin moved to the large window, gazing out at the bustling city below. The iconic red buses and black cabs were already making their way through the streets, and the distant hum of city life filled the air.

Another day in London... Let's make it count. Jin thought.

He walked to the bathroom, the white tiles gleaming under the soft glow of the vanity lights. After a refreshing shower, he dressed in a casual yet stylish outfit—a loose-fitting shirt and jeans, reflecting his effortless fashion sense.

Jin made his way down the narrow staircase that led to the kitchen.  The kitchen was a blend of functionality and elegance. Sleek white cabinets lined the walls, contrasting beautifully with the dark granite countertops. A small island in the center served as both a workspace and a casual dining area.

He boiled coffee, and the aroma of it wafted through the kitchen.  He poured himself a cup of coffee, savoring the rich, aromatic flavor. The kitchen window offered a view of a quaint courtyard, complete with ivy-covered walls and a small fountain. It was a tranquil oasis in the heart of the bustling city.

Jin's mind drifted back to the days before he left for London. He remembered sitting down with his parents, his hands trembling as he confessed the truth about cheating on Jungkook. Their faces were a mix of disappointment and concern, but they listened to him. Jin explained that he had made a huge mistake and hurt the person he loved the most. He told them he needed to fix things but required time and space to do so. His parents, understanding the gravity of the situation, agreed to keep his departure a secret.

He also recalled the painful conversation with Jungkook's parents. He mustered all his courage to apologize, his voice breaking as he spoke. Jin expressed his deep remorse for what he had done and acknowledged that he didn't deserve their forgiveness, but he needed to try and make things right. Jungkook's parents were deeply disappointed but saw the sincerity in Jin's eyes and agreed to his request.

With a heavy heart, Jin entrusted his CEO position to his brother Sejun and left for London, hoping that time and distance would help mend the wounds he had caused.

Drifting back to the present, today was a rare opportunity to relax and enjoy the city without the pressure of work deadlines, as it is a Sunday.  Sipping his coffee, and staring out the window, Jin suddenly riveted his thoughts on Jungkook.

I wonder what Jungkook is doing right now...

Despite the distance and the year that had passed, thoughts of Jungkook often drifted into his mind. Jin tried to shake them off, focusing on the sound of birds chirping outside his window and the warm sunlight streaming into his London flat. He knew that dwelling on the past wouldn't help, but it was easier said than done.

Jin sighed and took another sip of his coffee, letting the rich aroma fill his senses. He glanced around his cozy kitchen, the sleek white cabinets, and dark granite countertops starkly contrasting with the bustling streets of London outside. The space was serene and calming, yet it couldn't erase the ache in his heart.

Determined to make the most of his day off, Jin decided to head to his favorite park. He grabbed his sketchbook and a set of pencils, hoping that the change of scenery and the creative exercise would clear his mind.
