He gave me his hand & I got up. " it's okay" he said
& just couldn't stop crying by hearing his assuring words... I hugged him & cried he also hugged me back slowly patting my back. I was so afraid and emotional that I didn't even see that I hugged Siddharth.
then I broke the hug & wiped my tears. He asked me if I'm fine....I said "yes". It was still pouring heavily. " you're all drained, let's go I'll drop you at dormitory." he said & gave me his jacket cause I was shivering from cold.
I nodded & we got in his car. then I received call from Sirat " Hey! where are you, I was so worried about you."
" I'm fine & I'm going to hostel now" I replied.
" how?" she asked
" Siddharth is dropping me there" I answered
" okay, I'll be there soon too, bye." she said & hung up
" Are you really okay??" Siddharth asked
" I guess I'm or I'll be in some time.... It's just that I've not experienced such things before...I never been at such place & maybe that's why I just overreacted. maybe people just act this way these days. I'm just too old school I guess." I replied
" Hey!! don't think that you don't fit in this generation or whatever. what he did was totally wrong. Whatever today's trend or fashion might be but these things are all wrong & you're not old school at all." He said
I looked at him for while, he was driving but he can totally feel my eyes on him.
" thank you!! for saying that" I said
I never thought Siddharth had this side too, I guess I was wrong.
He then dropped me at hostel. I was about to return in jacket but then he said " no, keep it you need it now. return me that later." I nodded. we bid goodbye & then left.
I was in my room & Sirat came " what happened, why you left the party? I heard some girls talking that Sid punched some guy. what happened??" she asked
I told her what happened & how Sid helped me.
" Gosh...! I'm so sorry, It's my fault I should have not left you alone, sorry!!" she said
" hey! it's not your fault, don't be sorry, It's okay." I replied she then hugged me & comforted me...
I never thought that boy I thought was rude and spoiled will ever help me. He is actually a nice guy!!
2 days later,
Aakriti's POV
I was in library searching for some books & I saw Siddharth sitting in corner... I went to him & asked him, " what're you doing here?"
" Playing basketball" He replied sarcastically.
" Ohh come on, I can see that you're reading a book but why are you sitting on floor? there's plenty of chairs empty in hall." I asked
" I just like to be alone when I read" he answered
"Anyway it's great that you're here, I was already looking for you" I said & sat down next to him

" why??" he asked
" cause I wanted to return your jacket, here! take it, I dry cleaned it & thank you so much for the other day. You really saved me." I said
" no big deal, anyone would have done that" He replied
" but for me you did, that means a lot" I said. He looked at me & I realized what I just did. I flirted with him. ohhhh myyyy godd! what the hell are you thinking Aakriti, just stop it!! try to change the subject.
then I asked him "what book are you reading??"
" Its book called ' blind slide' by Kandi Steine" he replied
" what's it about?" I asked
" It's a college romance story with fake dating trope" he replied
" ohh!! you really into books like that??" I asked
" not really, I was just getting bore so, I picked up the first book I saw" He answered
" okay then I should get going, Bye & thanks for your jacket." I said & tried to get up but my hand slipped & hit the shelf above me & some books fell on my head
"Ouch" I screamed " that hurts" while rubbing my head
I heard him laughing & looked at him. " Does this seem funny to you, that hurts!!" I exclaimed
he then said laughingly " you're really so clumsy" & started laughing again
I was rubbing my head my pouty face & then I looked at him he was still laughing
" what??" he asked cause I was constantly looking at him
" I've never seen you laughing like that before, all you have is straight poker face all the time. you look good when you smile." I said .... Damm it & now I can't take that back.
he was looking at me, probably thinking that I am some kinda flirty person. you suck Aakriti!!
" see Yaa!! " I said & left, what was I thinking, am I some kinda cheesy, flirty & clingy girl. Now I am too embarrassed to face him again. I guess I'll just have to die.
