Chapter 8 : THANKS!! for the help

Author's POV

Aakriti, Naina & Sirat was having their breakfast in cafeteria... They were talking & laughing when Aakriti heard someone saying her name. She turned back, there were some girls sitting behind them thinking that they might have called her, but they ignored her like they weren't even talking about her. 

So, she thought she might have misheard something & returned back to their conversation. Again she heard them whispering...

" Hey!! isn't she the one??" one of them said

" Who??" the other girl asked

" Don't you remember, she's the one who caused scene at Yuhaan's party & then Sid ran behind her." 

" What??" 

" I'm telling you Shriya, You have to be very careful. I'm sure that bitch is going to snatch Sid."

" HELLL, In her dreams" Shriya said & then they left the cafe.

Aakriti & Naina heard all those things they said about her. Naina was about to go & talk them but Aakriti grabbed her & asked her not to cause any kind of scene with those useless girls & they were already getting late for their lectures So, they just left the Cafeteria.

Aakriti was so sad to hear all those stuff about herself. Looking at her, Naina assured that she should ignore those things & those stupid people too. 

After lectures

Aakriti was told to collect all the assignments of her classmates & submit the in Faculty lounge. So, after submitting all those assignments she was returning to her dormitory. She was walking from staircase, she was searching for her phone cause she thought she might have forgotten it. (Aakriti has habbit of forgetting her stuff) Her head was down searching, When someone walked passed her & pushed her & She didn't even realize when she fell from stairs. She screamed!!

Yuhaan & Sid were passing the corridor when they heard someone's scream. when they came looking for the voice, they found Aakriti on floor. she was rubbing her ankle and trying to get up. She was lucky was she only slipped from 4-5 stairs. 

They both went to her, " Hey! what happened?" Yuhaan asked 

"I fell from stairs & my ankle is hurting, I can't get up" She replied in hurtful voice. Yuhaan helped her get up. 

" How did this happen??" Yuhaan asked

" She might be trying to fly" Sid said sarcastically

Aakriti looked at him with angry eyes & said, " Hehehe!! does this seem a joke to you. I was not trying to fly, someone pushed me" 

"Who? Did you saw their face? " Yuhaan asked 

" No, I didn't saw their face but it was a girl, I'm sure"  She replied

" How!! Isn't this too soon to have such kind of rivalry already? " Sid said while smirking

" Thank you!! I wanted that so much. Now will you guys please stop interrogating & take me to infirmary??" Aakriti said in pain

They then walked her to clinic, though Sid had no single intention of doing that but he had to because of Yuhaan. They reached to clinic; doctor was checking Aakriti's leg. Suddenly Yuhaan received a call & went outside. 

The doctor was done checking her & then gave her some medicines. Yuhaan came back & said " Guys!! I sorry but I have to leave now... I was supposed to pick my mom from airport. I'm already late" & then left in hurry. 

Now it was just Sid & Aakriti, Sid gave his hand to Aakriti to help her get up. They were walking towards her dorms. 

" Thank you for helping me" Aakriti said

" No need, just make sure not to fall when you try to fly next time" Sid said mischievously

" I was not trying to fly, She pushed me" she said angrily while shrugging his hand & didn't realize that she left his hand. She then lost her balance & was about to fall but Sid grabbed her again. She looked at him, there eyes met the world stopped for a bit & then they both realize that he was grabbing her by her waist.

She then tried to get up and grabbed his hands. He was in shock too. her checks got all red sudden tension rose in them and for next five minutes they both avoided any kind of eye contact.

Then just to ease the atmosphere Sid said, " Have you ever seen her?"

" I don't remember, but I think she might be the one" she replied

" Who??" Sid asked

" I think she might be the girl I saw in cafeteria this morning" She said 

" How're you sure??" he asked

" She was talking about me & you " she answered

" you & me??" he asked curiously

" Yaa the whole college is talking about us & whatever happened at Yuhaan's party. She might be you fangirl" she replied annoyingly 

" OOOHHH!! so, that's the case" he said smiling

" why're you laughing, that's your fault" she said

" How so??" he asked

" OfCourse it is, so called handsome hunk of college" she said while rolling her eyes

" what can I do??  I'm sorry for the loss " he said laughing

" yes you should be & helping me is your penalty" she said

They reached at hostel... Naina was already there waqiting for Aakriti

" Thank you!!'" Aakriti said & Sid returned a smile & left.
