When I saw Ruby my mind automatically clicked to the dream I had in class today. I walked over to my car. "RUBY GET IN THE CAR!!" And in seconds she was inches away from my car. I got in and put my seat belt on. "What's up?" She asked.
"Look I don't know how you know my best friend and I don't care,"
"Yeah some best friend you have." She mumbled loud enough for me to hear. I shot her the what look. "Nothing continue."
So I did "people meet in classes in the hall at lunch all the time it doesn't matter to me that you guys are friends just the fact that he keeps denying it but whatever. You seem cool you were there when I needed someone if you want to be friends let's be friends I'm done being side tracked by what other people think or are saying or by my thoughts," I choked on the word thoughts because I didn't know what she'd think or that maybe she'd think I've been thinking about her.
"Avery I don't want to be friends," she said. My whole body sank because I went on that whole rant showing that I do care and I obviously do want to be friends and she said she didn't want to be friends with no hesitation so trying to show no emotion I kept my eyes on the rode. "I want to be more than friends. I like you. A lot."
"WHAT?!"
I heard cars honking and switched my eyes back on the road but it was too late.
"Avery! Watch out"
And then it all went black.
