One day, the doorbell rang. Maya opened the door and saw an employee from her father's company.
Maya: "Yes?"
Employee: "Ma'am, I have these files for Mateen Sir." He handed the files to Maya and left.
After 15 minutes, the bell rang again. Maya opened the door to see another man standing there with more files. She asked, "Who are you?"
Man: "Ma'am, I have these files to give," he said, showing her 3-4 files. She took them from him and said, "Okay."
She was about to sit on the sofa after putting the files in her father's room when the bell rang yet again. Frustrated, she quickly opened the door and shouted, "Don't you all have anything better to do? Coming one by one like this!" she yelled at the man standing there.
The man looked confused, not understanding her language. He said, "Actually, I'm here for-"
She cut him off, saying, "Shut up! You should have brought all the files at once. You people keep coming one after the other. I'm not your grandfather's servant!"
Just then, her father entered through the main door.
Mateen: "Beta? You're here? And why are you yelling? Let's talk inside," he said, glancing at the man at the door.
Maya, still annoyed, said, "You know what? He should've just brought all the files with him."
Mateen: "What? Beta, why would he bring all the files?"
Maya, exasperated, replied, "I don't understand, Dad! Isn't he an emplo-"
Mateen interrupted her, laughing, and said, "He's Zavian A.R. Ventur, beta!" pointing towards the man. "Sorry, beta, she doesn't remember you."
Maya was speechless, unsure of how to react.
Zavian: "Um... Nevermind, Uncle, please don't apologize. I came here because I was on my way to the airport. I arrived in India at 11:00 a.m. today, but I have to leave for Russia due to some business issues. Dad wanted to send this file to you, so I thought I'd deliver it myself since the airport is on the same route."
Mateen: "You did the right thing by coming, beta! I'm very glad to see you here."
Zavian: "Thank you, Uncle. It's always good to catch up with you."
Then, Mateen, Maya's father, said, "Maya, go and bring a coffee for Zavian."
Zavian insisted, "You don't have to trouble yourself; I don't want anything."
But Maya replied with a not interested look, "It's just a coffee, Mr. Zavian."
And she left for the kitchen, the sound of her footsteps fading away.
After about 10 minutes, she came back with a tray, holding two cups of coffee and some snacks.
Zavian and her dad were talking when she placed the tray on the table and quietly walked out. Mateen looked at Zavian and said, "Take a sip of the coffee."
Zavian, still focused on the conversation, picked up the cup. As he took the first sip, he was surprised. The coffee was much better than he expected, its rich taste leaving him impressed.
After their little conversation, Zavian said goodbye and was about to leave. Just as he reached the door, he turned back. Her father looked up and asked, "Yes, beta?"
Zavian paused and said, "Uncle, actually, Dad also wants me to give you the pass for tomorrow's party that will be held in France."
Mateen took the pass from Zavian, looking a little surprised. "Tomorrow's party? I didn't know about it."
