He only took his backpack along. Wore a pair of denim pants and a white long sleeve. He had walked so far away from the main street of New York were the streetlight displayed. As he continued, he came up to a junction in the yard, with a sign pointing towards an abandoned part of the area saying '124 Talks street'. There wasn't light enough to brighten the place up, but the moon helped do justice to that.
He looked it over as he threaded the path, keeping his eye on every corner of the street.
"So much for a Saturday night... and a job hunt."
"Quite early." The man grinned from behind him, causing him to jerk abruptly and turn around.
He swallowed as he tried to steady his spiked heartbeat, clutching to his chest as he bent over. "Lord! You scared me!"
He raised his watch to his face wearing a pout. "Extra," he then took his hand behind him. "You must really be in need of the check."
Jimin straightened up as he inhaled. "That is my concern."
He shrugged. "I guess."
Jimin rolled his eyes. "I'm here. What is the job?"
The man smiled and moved a bit closer. "Don't be in a hurry young man... you have a lot of time."
"I'm not sure I do. I have to prepare a project for Monday. What is the job, please."
The man cocked his brow. "Well, if you're so much in a hurry," he took his watch to his mouth, not once taking his gaze off him. "Report transit immediately."
Jimin scrunched at the man. 'what was he doing now?'
Just almost immediately, a black vehicle with tinted windows pulled up to where they were. A man came down and opened the back doors for both of them. The man smirked as it arrived and turned to Jimin again. "Get in."
He huffed. "No way, I'm not."
He twitched his lips. "Weren't you just in a hurry?"
"I might reconsider that."
"At this point? You're not the type to stick to decisions, are you?" He mocked.
Jimin swallowed. "Where would it take me?"
"You'll see. Get in."
"What if I don't want to..."
"You volunteered, remember?" He began to walk closer to him again as he spoke. "And doesn't it surprise you that this company is still willing to pay you even when you solely decided to work for them?" He tilted as he came to a halt right in front of him. "Now that isn't an opportunity you'd want to put away in the bin, is it?"
Jimin looked into his eyes, somewhat controlled by them. But no, it was his clear mind responsible for whatever he thought and wanted to decide.
"Ten thousand you say?" He whispered.
"I didn't stutter," he whispered back.
He stared him one more time before moving past him and getting into the vehicle. The man smirked at his actions, turning around to join him.
The vehicle started and revised out of the street, furthering into the main city.
