Hucral was very anxious to discover her new home. At least what she could make out, because our dear witch couldn't fly with wings.

- Damn! she grumbled. You really have to have a negative IQ to be that bad, it's impossible. I'm going to have to take care of myself, and I hope there are some medicinal plants because I don't want to use my magic.

She was so gifted that she had managed to hit a tree head-on. The impact was so violent that she turned back into a human and remained unconscious for a few minutes. She sat up crouching, trying to relax.

- Let's think... Hmmmmm, oh! Eureka. Admittedly, I don't know where I've landed, but it's not death. I'll try to find some plants around here, and then I'll drink an invisibility potion and fly in human form! Wow, I really am the genius I think I am.

After sending herself flowers, Hucral set off on his expedition. It only took her a few minutes of walking to reach her starting point.

- I'd forgotten my orienteering skills didn't exist. My bad.

That's right, Hucral wasn't the genius she thought she was. She didn't know how long it had taken her to find her plants, but she could already see nightfall. Our star was about to give up hope when she finally spotted a hill full of flowers, each as pretty as the next.

- FINALLY! she cried, throwing herself into the field. I've never seen these flowers before, there are so many of them!

Just as she was getting excited, she realized her situation.

-I've just been thinking, but I don't know which ones are poisonous and which ones aren't. Besides, I won't be able to memorize them all.

Our witch was so preoccupied that she hadn't even realized her wounds had healed naturally.

- I could write a book, she suggested to herself after a moment's thought. Mhh yes, that's not a bad idea. I'll call it Spells, Poisons and Recipes: Flowers and Other Things. That way, it'll be 3 in 1.

Our star's idea was excellent, but she'd forgotten that she wasn't supposed to show herself to the locals.

- Damn, how can I...

She paused for a moment before speaking again.

- I take it back, I've just had a stroke of genius, she says mischievously. I'M GOING TO TEST ALL THE FLOWERS ON MYSELF! I'm going to make them into infusions, potions, food, with their petals and leaves mouahaha.

Proud of her clearly stupid conclusion, Hucral conjured up a picnic basket and picked the flowers. When she had finished, she realized she was cured.

- It's true that I recover very quickly, I could have waited a bit after all... Yes, but no, actually, I don't like waiting.

She decided to go home. Once there, she took her wooden stool and stood outside on her little wooden table to begin her work. With each new plant, she was more and more amazed by their effects. Vomiting, thickening of mucous membranes and saliva, loss of taste and smell, digestive disorders, hallucinations, and a whole host of other consequences no one would want to experience. It was in these moments that Hucral thanked herself for being immortal. She'd seen so much, she felt the need to take a break.

- These tests have exhausted me," she says, slumping down on the grass. And I haven't even finished yet. If I were mortal, I'd feel like my last hour was about to ring.

As she squinted at the blue sky, a yawn came over her.

-Anyway... Maybe I should go to bed. Have a nice nap.

She stood up, picked up her unfinished work and brought it inside. She checked that the house's invisibility spell was still in place, and went to bed.
