The next day, she reached out to her closest friends: Lana, the resourceful tech whiz, and Jake, a fearless adventurer. They gathered in Emma’s sanctuary — the basement hideaway swathed in posters of the stars and adventures.
“All of us are scared,” Emma began, her voice steady. “But we can’t let fear rule our lives.”
“You’re right,” Jake agreed, his usual bravado shining through. “We need to find this killer. How do we start?”
Lana opened her laptop, typing furiously. “We comb through the police reports, look for patterns in locations, timings, ages… I’m sure there are indicators we can find.”
