Chapter 1:Part 2

Suddenly, the atmosphere turns cold.

I look up at my mother, and it's not her. It's a dark cloaked figure with no face. Only darkness. My body turns cold.

I moved back, yet it grabs my foot with ugly, dark shadow vines.

I scream.

*Adeline*, it growls.

I struggle against it. It stands. Ugly and terrifyingly  above me.

My voice... it's gone.

I cried silently . My voice is gone.

Only silent tears kept escaping from my eyes and my heart was paralyzed with terror. My mind.... in my mind I scream... WHO ARE YOU!

I hear in a sick, ugly growl crying out *Amos! Amos! Amos!*

I'm cold , covered in my own sweat and  tried to scream in my head again *What do you want?*

*Little girl,* it growls darkly .
*I can give you what you desire most... your sweet little thing. A family in exchange that you do something for me.*

My palpitating heart felt as if it would run out of my chest. *I want nothing.* I whispered in my head with my eyes closed and unable to look at that thing.
*OH really now .* Came an ugly growl *What about your sweet mother.* My thoughts drift to her warm arms wrapped around my body and her soft kisses on my forehead. No she is dead. I remind myself. My heart aches.
A vine comes sliding up from my legs to my head and a blood curling scream came from my throat... but nothing comes out .Then bright light appears and mom is calling again...*Addie, Addie honey do what he says.* She whispers encouragingly. *Mom, I want to be with you.* I can speak !I tell her and she smiles. Almost melting my heart ,*Then do what he says.*  She floats away leaving black dust behind . It  growls and terror floods my body again .*Don't you want her .* It taunts. *Yes.* I whisper.

*Give this to Oliver Black then I will Grant you what you most desire.*

*Ok.* I whispered. In defeat.

Had I known that what I was agreeing to. I would have never agreed to it. Regret would only come later .
