Ross read the text over again and again until he figured out that the text wouldn't change or another text would come say that something was wrong. He felt his eyes burn and throat tighten up, but he held back what he could and continued looking for Dan.

"Maybe he can help me get through this." Ross whispered to himself. Once he came upon the front door, he noticed that there was a note stuck to the door. It just read: 'Back Later - Dan' Ross shook his head when he started to think about the reasons he could have left. He then walked around a little more until he came to a room when he found a piano along with a couple other instruments. He supposed that this was Danny's office space.
There was a small piano, but it was more like a keyboard, but had the shape of a small piano. He smiled sadly, shut and locked the door behind him. He supposed that it couldn't hurt anything if he just tapped the keys for a bit. He did know how to play a long time ago, but he stopped when things started stirring up in his life. He started tapping the keys to see how it sounded and the keys he touched reminded him of 'And So It Is'. ((AN: And So It Is: )) He was swallowed by the soft sound of his music and concentration and played what he could remember. Danny and Kevin returned and called out for Ross, but stopped worrying for him when they heard the piano come from Danny's study. Kevin went to his room while Danny pressed his ear up against the door that Ross was on the other side of. Afterwards, he wanted to play something simpler and the first thing that popped into his head was 'Heart and Soul'. ((AN: Heart and Soul the one I was talking about: )) He began to play and sing it, but this was when his emotions took hold of the lyrics. He played until it looped around again to start singing.

"Heart and Soul, I thought we were okay," he sang "heart and soul, I thought we were confident that our love would last until the end of time itself."

Danny heard the notes turn minor and the tempo slow down before Ross started sing again.

"Heart and Soul. Do you remember me? Heart and Soul, there's nothing you can do sadly because I'm too far gone."

Then, a slow, simple and minor note pattern that had a sombre feel followed.

"I miss you. I needed you. You left me. The both of you. Come back. Love me. Or hate me. Holly. Danny, Please!" Ross hit his hands on the keys. A soft sob could be heard before Ross continued 'Heart and Soul' slowly and sadly.

"Heart and Soul, I thought you loved me too, Heart and Soul, there's nothing I can do sadly because I fucked it up." Ross sobbed as quietly as he could.
