"Drive safe, please! It was starting to rain when I got in." Ross threw a glance over his shoulder at Brian.
"Thanks, Ross. G'night." Brian chuckled at the intensity of the comment
"G'night, Bri." Danny dismissed sluggishly. A few moments later, the door shut and Danny had walked up behind him and stared at his working hands. They stood in that position as Ross recut the pizza along the faint lines. He waited for Danny's arms to wind around his waist or his chin on top of his head or something, but there was no physical contact. After he had gone over the lines twice, he moved to stand in front of the cabinet to retrieve a couple paper plates and a couple glasses.
"Do you want ice, Danny?" He had asked a little frightened that he had done something wrong to deserve this kind of torture that was the lack of Danny's affection.
"No, thanks." He stated simply and continued on watching Ross shuffle around the kitchen. After Ross handed him his plate and cup, he simply walked off and sat at the table. He followed after Danny and let a chair be between them. He kept his head down and hoped that Danny would start a conversation, but the few times that he did look up, he just saw him either staring back at him or at his own plate.
"Is something wrong?" Ross had finally spoken up and made the effort to try and make eye contact with him.
"No, everything's alright." He kept his eyes down at the cheese pizza in his hands.
"Okay," Ross sighed at the unsatisfying answer, but let it slide. "Are we doing anything this week? Other than work, I mean."
"Not that I'm aware of." He answered; clearly not interested in the conversation. "Why?"
"Holly and I need to get everything sorted out in court sometime this week." He informed and looked down at his own pizza and decided that he wasn't hungry anymore.
"Why this week?" Danny had whined slightly; this was odd behavior for him.
"I thought you said that you didn't wanna do anything this week." Ross furrowed his eyebrows and looked up at the top of Danny's head which was pointed at him while he was also trying to decide if he really was hungry.
