Ten dozen notifications shattered the tranquility of Hazuki's morning.

It all started off with nothing special, with the first sunlight rays waking her up, Inasa beside her still asleep. She smiled, as a sense of contentment washed over her.

Last night she could feel that he was tense, his sleep this morning seemed to be particularly deep meaning he probably went to bed late.

Doing a quick stretch on the floor before she went to raid the kitchen for her morning 12 glasses of water. Then coming back to dig through his closet for a pair of uniforms she kept here.

Inasa woke up a while later, albeit a little groggy but still made his way to the bathroom with his uniform she had left for him of his desk chair.

She frowned as she considered using her gym bag or borrowing one of her boyfriend's duffel bags for school. It was a tough choice, so she whipped out her phone for a coin-toss app. She immediately noticed er social media had a +99 plus on its notification, so curious, she clicked on it.

She let out a gasp, feeling her eyes almost pop out of their sockets at the dramatic surge in views; they had gone up two figures since yesterday! This is too much for her. Her comments section was also blowing up.

Reading through them, her bright eyes dimmed at the negative comments.

'Toxic fan,' one comment read. 'Self-centered brat,' another sneered. She felt her heart stop as she kept scrolling, but it was an endless cycle when every negative comment seemed to take a shot at Hazuki's self-esteem.

With her eyes glued to the screen, refusing to look away. She wondered why the topic of the posts were lacking about the real issue she was trying so hard to build awareness on. Instead, they preferred to nitpick details of her words, personality and then her appearance. It was absurd!

"Hazuki, honey, you feeling okay there?" Inasa asked, his eyes darting to her screen. The pair were on their way to school, it was a beautiful day and his girlfriend seemed lost in phone. She was biting up her bottom lip with a hand over her chest as if she had trouble breathing.

"It's just... people." She muttered, "They're so stupid." She handed him her phone.

That sinking feeling is back, his grip on her phone was tight "Don't let these guys get to you. They're just jealous!"

Hazuki scoffed, "Jealous of what? My terrible opinions on mainstream pros or even worse attitude?" her shoes scraping the ground.

"You're not afraid." He replied, speeding up to block her front making her look up at him before she collided. "You speak your mind even if its unpopular. That takes guts. Real passion that you show."

Her eyes widened a bit before returning to normal. She stepped forward and gave him a hug, which he returned tenfold. The rest of the walk worried about the silence. Inasa w toll the internet was taking on her. She was a plant person! She thrived on good vibes and positivity, and none of this could be good for her mentally.

At school, Hazuki can feel that some students have been kept up to date if their directed stares were anything to by. In class today Hazuki was unusually quiet, her mind too preoccupied with the current events and painful words. They struck a chord aimed at a deep-seated insecurity.

She sat alone on one of the hallway tables, eyes glued onto her phone. A sigh was let out at every harsh comment, a dagger to her heart. Hazuki was always ever confident; hell, her competitive teams relied on it! But now she couldn't even have the heart to answer Shoko's texts: mathletes meeting today.
