Megumi is now 14 in middle school and has become a very huge handful. Satoru has even talked to him about becoming a Jujutsu Sorcerer, and he has no interest. He stays quiet and, most of the time, in his room. Toshiko missed the little boy who ran to her to tell her something, or if she needed something, tug at her shirt to get her attention. Her attention goes to the door immediately when she heard two car doors slam almost at the same time. Megumi comes storming into the house straight to his room as he slams the door. Satoru walks in the door, fuming slams the front door. She figured not to say anything. Either one would say something when they needed to. Satoru takes a deep breath as he closes his eyes to let it out. "I'm trying. I really am just sometimes I want to.." He stops as he looks at her. Toshiko doesn't say anything in a way she agreed with him. Satoru sits down as he lays his head back on the couch he props his feet up on the coffee table, his one arm over the back as his hand just dangles there. "Just the higher ups had to show their ugly heads today, then Megumi gets in trouble at school." Toshiko stands on the backside of the couch as she leans it close to him. Some of her hair grows more, but she pretty much keeps it short. Half the time, she forgets to brush it. She spreads her fingers through locks of her hair as she lays her head in her hand as her arm is proped on the back with her elbow. "So whats the reason the higher-ups showed their heada for?" Satoru says as he stays like that for a little bit longer. "A kid.." She looks at him puzzled as she scratches the top of her head. "A kid?" Satoru leans up as he moves his arms to his lap he pulls his feet down to the floor as he leans up more and spreads his legs wide on the couch. His arms were proped on each leg as his hands rested inside his legs, just barely missing the couch cushion. "Yeah. So this kid killed three boys in school. Well, he didn't, but his cursed spirit did. His best friend who loved died in a tragic accident. He grieved over her but couldn't let it go."
"Curseing her and him." She replies, leaning her head up more. "Exactly. But see, the kid doesn't wish harm by no means. But only do that. You have to make a pact with the spirit. He gets sacred and doesn't truly defend himself. So, the spirit feels like it has to be protected regardless of whether it's necessary or not." She leans up more as her hand falls to hang off of the couch. "I see, and you want to help the kid and let me guess they don't agree." Satoru flungs his head back. "Bingo. But they agreed anyway I persuaded them a little."
"Satoru!" He laughs as he leans his head up. "Hey, not like that. Besides...." He looks at his hand. "They aren't gonna get rid of me. I'm the strongest. After all, it will be stupid if they do." She was shocked, which she shouldn't be he blackmailed them. She sighs as she hangs her head, her hair falling to the sides covering her face. "Relax. It's gonna be fine." He resures her he lays his hand back down, and he looks at it as he chuckles. She looks up at him. "So how are you gonna help this kid?" Satoru puts his finger on his chin as he squeezes his mouth a little. "Good question. I have not the slightest idea."
"W-What?!" She was stunned what she was hearing. "Like I said, there is nothing to worry about. If I can get him to stand up for himself, the spirit will calm its role more. This means he can keep it under control and call the spirit if he needs it to help. But the question is... How and what can he use to fight with? He has cursed energy." Toshiko loved to listen to his thought process of things. He was truly gifted not only in cursed energy but he is smart as well. Even though his energy did help with that. That was one of the many things she loved about him. "A weapon. He could use a weapon and merge his cursed energy in it." She breaks her own thought process when she looks at him. "That could work. But do you have any idea how you're gonna guide him on that?" Satoru chuckles once more. "Nope, so it will be a learning process for both." She shakes her head as she pushes off the couch. "You know.. You should come by the school." Toshiko froze in her tracks she hadn't been since Geto had left. "I-I don't know about that." She was trying to hide the fact she was nervous about that. He walks up behind her as his hands slide down her shoulder he leans down close to her ear. "You can't let fear run you little miss." He taps her shoulder as he walks away from her. Her heart was pounding, but in a good way, she felt embarrassed that he read straight through her, but after all, for 10 years, she has been in the same house with him and Megumi. Just how she can read him at times is just something you pick up on over the years. He was right, thought. She sighs as she rubs the back of her neck. "Alright, I will come tomorrow."
"That's the spirit, Toshi!" He says, all excited as he walks closer to her. For once, he just stood there and stared at her. His heart was racing he was drawn to her. They got along so well that she got him and vise versa. Toshiko, in the moment, untucks the end of his wrap as she pulls it off his hair falls in his face. He opened his eyes slightly as he looked at her through his lashes. That beautiful blue color is like the ocean she saw them sparkle, which made her heart flutter. He gently leaned closer to her, his fingers gently caressing her cheek he looked down at her lips they looked so soft and welcoming. Neither one wanted to make a move to mess things up they just stood there staring straight at each other. He pulls away as he clears his throat he makes his way to the kitchen, leaving her by herself to get herself back together. Toshiko finally pulls herself together as she walks away finally.
